Shakespeare was born April the 23rd, 1564 in the city of Stratford-upon-Avon.

2.    What is known about his family?
His mother was Mary Arden, daughter of a wealthy land owner from Wilmcote, a village near Stratford. John Shakespeare, his father, made gloves, traded wool, was an alderman en became the major of Stratford in 1586. William's father most likely was a Roman-catholic en pretty certain analphabet. William also had seven siblings, three of which died at young age.
William himself alter became father of two daughters, Susanna and Judith, and a son, Hamnet.

3.    What happened when Shakespeare became 18?
At the age of 18 William marries the 26 year old Anne Hathaway, a woman from a wealthy farmer
