What the hell do you call Africa?  Europe screwed up Africa when they carved the useless land up for themselves, fought over the mostly useless land, and then decided "Hey!  Decolonization!"  Now look at that continent.  Where's your remorse?  Like I said earlier - the people who bash America are hypocrites.

Iran invaded Iraq.
Iran held American Diplomats Hostages when the invaded the US Embassy.
Iraq was supplied, and then Iran was secretly supplied.    Sounds like a good plan to me.

Iraq invaded Kuwait, would not leave, and was removed....under tight UN control, continued to disreguard UN resolutions.
Iraq, afterall, could disreguard these rules, They were in black Market deals w/
RUSSIA and FRANCE anyway......they were protected.

US took out Saddam.  Period.  I support that move. 

I also support taking out IRAN when the time comes.

IMO, it should have been stopped there. The people were in favour of the Americans then, but they left. The matter was then handed over to the UN, and it should have remained there..
The thing is that the 2nd war in Iraq (at the time it was started) was (besides other motives) a political manoeuvre, like the Falkland war was. That plan now backfires..

The US didnt "Leave",  The UN Mandate was to kick Iraq forces out of Kuwait.  The US couldnt win a resolution to eliminate Saddam.

The Matter was not "Handed over" to the UN, it was a UN matter.  Desert Shield/Storm was a result of UN Resolutions.

As to today, its not a war.  The War was over 3 weeks after it started.
Today its a matter of supporting an elected Iraqi Govt. w/the force needed for its security, until a point comes that they can provide for themselves.

This is not a war today.....

Iraq asked the U.S. if they were going to intervene. The U.S. said no, go right ahead 'ol buddy -- mostly because of Kuwaits lack of relevance coupled with the fact that it was a generally soviet-leaning state.
