Topic: Banking Roles

hey i posted this in my forum so thought i'd throw it in here.  might help motivate some bankers back into life. 


*Making cash - This means looking always to make more, build to 25%, 50%, 100%  Bankers should not become stale, always keep pumping those planets up!
*Having good research - Building some rc early on to make building cheaper, funding 4 ticks a day later (especially when you start replacing rc with Tax Offices)
*Defending yourselves - consistantly updating laser amounts, every other day up by 1 or 2 per p.  More ground is now needed, attackers can wipe through a bankers ground much quicker.  Semi decent amount of figs will deter bankers sending tickers, however do keep some stationed for backup.
*Agents/Wizz - Agents is common sense, if your 150k nw, have 10k agents, always have enough wizz for SA
*Retakes - you cant attack anymore, so do retakes or offer to take planets of attackers, or send to planets won through diplomacy.
*Upkeep - not the banks job to pay upkeep.  tut tut, thats your job!
*Food - not the banks job to supply your food.
*Opps - you have 24 opps a day, make use of them.
*Bargain Hunt - keep your eyes on the market for good deals, if you see 20k iron on at 10, buy it and sell it for 15 later.
*Portal - When instructed make 1 a day, +1 each day until your making 8 a day.
*Ressies? - bankers can make the odd little resource, this can be useful for making expos, building portals, lasers and replacing lost agents instead of adding more demand on bank.
*Send to your lost planets for when the attacker retakes

making resource should only really be food/oct. if you make too much of other buildings your gonna start screwing with the ratio's tongue food isn't usually so important as there is usually always someone making food. but oct is a nice one for ports/wizzie.

except that, most of these look good. keeping half your ground/figs stationed randomly is good. if you get tick raided then you can get more defence at an instant instead of waiting on re building ground.

no, making 500 mf wont screw up your ratios too bad, and it reduces the hassle of having to depend on the market or keep buggin the bank for small change

I'd always advise a banker has a few mines and refiners so they always have enough stuff to build expos quickly without asking for aid.

I once pointed this out to bankers in my former fams and they still didn't get this

mmmm that is good to know.... but i have a fam that gives me plenty of up keep for buildings and anything i need with out asking..:P
i guess i am just lucky..
