as i said in other thread, while we have been at war with 60 and 52/59, there have been no noticeable wars which 66 have encountered? talk about easy round

Templares family.  Not really heard very much from them this round although they are doing very well in the latter half.  Recently overtaken 2265 in both planet count and NW and the gap is increasing each day due to 2265 being caught up in war.  They own pretty much half of sector two, and they have excellent spread in all the other sectors.  Providing no nasty surprises these guys are sailing for the win.  I know there must be some good talent in this family but apart from Templare, Sitting Duck and Whisperer I have forgotten who else is in this family.

VR's family.  Currently in an alliance war with their allies 2253 versus 2252 and 2259.  Before the war they looked very favourable for the win but cancellation wars can be nasty when they aren't timed right.  Mario led this family for the first three quarters of the round and did a very good job with them.  They double teamed and killed 60 with their allies who looked incredibly strong at the start, this set them up nicely for a great round.  They had a lot of room to expand in thier map position at the start and made a good choice in allies with Alena's family at the start.  It's been a good round for them and definately a family to look out for next round.

3 No Trespassing! (2248) [60,35]  1145 14419341 99501
Metrex's family.  Due to thier map position at the start I would have said pretenders for top 10.  A good choice in ally and some good negotiations by Smoke from the start had this family growing nicely in the middle of the pack.  Recently however with the addition of Metrex, Rin and Squeaky this family has sky rocketted.  A good infra base and a good spread has allowed Rin and Metrex free reign to conquer their list of targets from top to bottom with a few extra skirmishes on the side **coughs 2252**.  It's probably too late now to shoot for the top spot even with a late war with a planet fat family, I just don't think their infra will be as good as thier attacking prowess to be able to pull it off.  They will be my favourite family to watch next round.

4 We Are Watching Yooooooou!!! (2253) [28,16]  1429 14013541 132880
Flashys family.  With their allies 2265 they have been a force to be reckoned with this round.  Alena as leader earlier in the round did a great job as usual with his family.  When Tryme took over he continued this trend but focussed more on all out war rather than sitting back and infra whoring in the lull between wars.  Trymes worst mistake in my opinion was cancelling the NAP with 52 and 59 when he did.  Perhaps if he had waited a week until his alliance was unstoppable and got his families infra and defences bomb proof then this family could have won.  With that said, they have fought a great round and perhaps the win is not what they are after now.  Flashy took leadership for the main duration of the war and has done a good job of breaking down 52 and 59's defences.  With the return of Tryme and Alena this family might be able to give one last push for a good finish.

Bullets family.  I have not heard much about this family this round.  I know that they had Homestead in their family at SOR but due to RL had to delete.  Their spread to the west of thier home system is prohibited by 2266, I assume they have a NAP with the top family for the time being.  They seem to be contained in small patches of systems all over the galaxy, probably indicating that they have picked select targets and done ranged attacks or the old portal-small-guy-in-core tactic.  Their spread is somewhat limited though and they may find it had to grow in planet count any further.

Hapi's family.  Very similar story to 2248.  A good choice of allies and some good diplo at SOR secured these guys some breathing space.  They have grown steadily over the round barely on the edges of most families radars.  They do however appear to have a nice infra and probably some half talented players.  I would like to see them finish well this round.  Not much else known about them sorry.

Snailex Family.  Have been looking strong all round although they seem to be lacking something which would turn them from a top 10 family into a winning family.  Aragorn's deletion on a whim it seems has left them short of a main attacker.  This has probably encouraged 2266 to take advantage of the situation and it appears the two families are now at war.  Unless Snailex can negotiate a resonable NAP with Templare (i.e. very unlikely) I see this family being farmed out of the top ten.  They seem to be holding their own so far and are diligently retaking, so we will see how strong a family they are in a few days.

Immobilizers family.  If asked at SOR where I thought they would finish I would have said out of the top 15 but it's amazing what a couple of good randoms can do for a family.  Kagar playing as an SS Quantam seems to have worked well for him and he holds much of the families NW by himself.  Yugoslutvia and IRONMAN's deletion (instigated by 2248) means that this family should be even higher up the rankings, or maybe this is where they belong, who knows.  I don't know much about this family except for that they are allied with 2247.  They have probably had quite a boring round, never really warring anyone in particular but having a lot of fight brought to them.

Unfortunately I don't know who the leader of this family is.  The family was looking promising at the start of the round with Emo and Ricking but they got farmed early by 2253 and 2265 and have never fully recovered.  They have actually done very well to get into the ranking they currently reside.  I have seen a gradual growth over the last few days for them and that is good.  A hit on a smaller family might get these guys up the ranks but I have a feeling they might just play it out until the end of the round now.

Bankers don't do much.

Plus I know for a fact I have the best banker in the galaxy in my fam.  Even now I doubt there is anyone who is making more than he was before the war.
