She is motivated by power and imposing her religious right ideology on the nation, and she thinks she has a good chance of being elected as president in 2012. So she has resigned her office as governor of Alaska on a national holiday so she can focus on advertising herself politically... and possibly more. But honestly, I will never vote for a person so devoted to the cause of the religious right as she is. I'd sooner vote for Obama than that witch. In fact, if she wins the 2012 Republican ticket, I will know that the Republican party is truly broken. I'll become so furious with the Liberals and the Republicans, I'll start my own party devoted to old school conservative values - Minarchy, Meritocracy, Social and Economic freedom, and free trade. And I won't stop fighting them until I have driven those religious fanatics and liberals alike out of government for good!

There should be a law that forbids running for office on a religious platform and making policy decisions based on religious conviction. Every public official should make decisions based on what delivers public services efficiently and rely only on empirical facts.

The religious right basically serves to unintentionally ensure that the policies of the Democratic party that aim to intervene in our social and economic lives are allowed to continue unopposed.

Where does all the hate for Palin come from? I'm not religious, but I haven't seen where her religion supposedly causes a problem with her governing. I would have preferred her to Obama/McCain by a rather large margin.

Sarah Palin is soooooooooo dumb.

She should at least finish her term. She owe it to her people who voted for her. She keep saying, she is not quitter, but fighter. B.S. Resigning is same thing as quitting!!!! If she finished her term and don't run for re-election, she still have 2 years left till running for President.

But to be honest, having her as my President of USA scared the shit out of me. I really don't like her. It has nothing to do with against having "female" president. Clinton would be better than Palin though.

minarchy is not monarchy. It's minimal government.

And Sarah Palin lacks the intelligence to rule, which has been demonstrated on a number of occasions, especially in her debates. Her religiosity is also reason for why she should not be president. After Bush, I am convinced that a person with strong religious convictions should not be president.
