Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Define "higher ranked". What authority does this officer need?

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Needs to be able to access any classified data

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Major Miles Devian, as a SpecOps officer, has access to plenty of classified data. He's not a psyker, though.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

now, do talusians have psychics?
I keep forgetting.

Also might have to drop some more plot with devian before leaving for holiday

edit: was not my intention to make a rather large post. Did not know how it happened.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

(The UEF-related files that Devian has access to are outdated, as he's actually at the Eden colony, which has been out of contact with the UEF for about a year. Any other files are specific to the Eden government.)

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

might want to mention that, anyway, the files will tell him what's happened in the galaxy since they left(what they are after). Any data regarding recent activities is pretty useless.

Well then Colonel Rhuta Vance of the Dominion's Imperial Guard ought to do quite nicely for you then. Oh, and she's obviously not a psyker.

Completely? It does. Sgt. Orkin hadn't received his share of uber-armor - or a weapon - when he died.

Simple brainwashing, though, is a much more efficient process...

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

I wrote up this section, then realized it didn't make sense, but will save the prose anyway.

"What are you doing?" Carl asked.

Logan worked serenely, surrounded by a cloud of light. "Do you want to be God? Then be God. Don't beat around the bush. You'll only have this chance once, Carl." He smiled. "That's my philosophy, anyway. You can be all stuck-up and moral if you want, but last I checked, that's not how the military works."

Carl, exasperated, asked, "Why are you always right?"

Logan shrugged. "I'm not. I just pretend to be. Sometimes I even get lucky."

The bridge lights began flashing red, and Carl felt himself suddenly becoming very warm. He felt the energy pulsing through the Heleriya's veins as Logan charged up an attack that could never be used again.

From somewhere on the Heleriya's bow, a beam of blinding light shot forth from the Heleriya and stabbed the largest ship in the Seraphim fleet. Upon impact, the beam splintered in all directions, cleanly piercing through all of the nearby Seraphim ships; each time a beam hit a ship, the light splintered again, so in the end the whole thing looked like a massive tree of light that whited out the sensors of every other starship nearby.

When the human starships could sense anything meaningful again, there was no Seraphim fleet.

Carl turned to Logan. "Did I just see you godmode?"

Logan shrugged. "I've always wanted to do that."

Carl shook his head disapprovingly. "You need to, like, not do that ever again."

"I wasn't planning to."

Oh lol'ed, "did you just godmode"

Hilarious, and kinda the thing I'd expect to see from logan.
