Thanks, that was good. No idea why Balsz bought that episode up. The Top Gear boys didn't start anything, they were just having a laugh and the locals are too insecure they couldn't laugh along or have a giggle at themselves and they started dishing out the abuse. It demonstrates the complete opposite point to what Balsz was trying to make.
I flew Miami --> New Orleans but now I'm wishing we had done it in this type of road trip.

yaawwnnn... no need to get all excited avo. I don't base this just on what they show, I've been watching the show for a long time. They stand by the actual events shown are true and accurate. Some of their races they admit they edit to show the best bits (no other way to fit the whole event/race into a normal tv show anyway!) but are adamant that the stories/events are portrayed accurately.
They are having a laugh, not trying to insult anyone. If someone drove around my town with stereotypical things spray painted stupidly on the outside of the car by a bunch of clowns I'd have a laugh. If they were nicely sign-written bill boards it would be different. Get a sense of humour, stop taking things so seriously and you might find yourself to be a happier person overall.
Obviously they are just ducking down and hiding their faces to make it more interesting for tv, and to let the locals know they are not proud of the car - they are .not. shouting out the windows "yeah country and western sucks 4 real!". Reeeellllaaaaxxxx dude.

We tolerate other parties than the one we like, we succesfully managed to have annual gay events, and we don't mind people insulting our national sports (not even the ones that were invented here: korfbal and krachtbal).
I even think you can get through here with swastika's just fine (who knows, perhaps you might run into some old symphatisants). But that symbol, cause it costed human lives and cause it represents everything a normal being should hate, is someting else...
