Catalan or basque or something I think, because it's not spanish or portugese

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

btw, having fun in your own corner of the universe?

So, I'm betting that our corners of the universe won't come in contact until the Fourth Story. Five cents. Game on?

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

I'll be leaving for mah holiday in a month or so and will be quit for 2 months

probably after i'm back space will be deep in the bowels of this board and we'll have to make another one

that or I just stop writing all together like i said

which is probably a better idea

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Not likely. This forum is dead enough that Space will still probably be on the first page.

Barring any major catastrophes, ofc.

One would assume a huge sientific underground network would not be finished in just a couple of months

It totally is. I do it all the time. tongue

Speaking of that, SupCom 2 was unveiled at E3. It's... interesting...

I looked pretty cool, imo

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

The largest change is probably going to be the economy. The fact that they're moving away from a continuous model and back to a discrete model is going to have many SupCom and FA players saying "lol wut?".

That and a real tech tree with unit upgrades.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

I can see players spam the [jibble] out of some all purpose tanks at the highest tier

Also I'd like some more realistic mini experimental's and regular ones, they look weird and unnecessary. Not that a huge spider was so functional. At least it could go anywhere fast.

A huge tiger or dog seems less then ideal

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

I never played FA, was it much different from the first game?

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

The interface got a rework (if you used SCA's UI Mod for classic SupCom, you wouldn't notice).

The game feels much more fast-paced (but maybe that's just me).

Mass fabricators were massively nerfed and T3 mass extractors were made more expensive and powerful.

The AI was completely rewritten. Now, even the medium AI will efficiently expand to take over the entire map if you're not careful, building factories on your doorstep and whatnot and constantly applying pressure with T1 units until it's accumulated a large enough platoon to steamroll you outright. The hard AI does all this faster, and the very hard AI cheats to accomplish this. The upshot of all this is that turtling against the AI is no longer effective - you're forced to fight for control of the map if you want a fighting chance.

Experimentals are cheaper, faster to build, and less powerful. The Galactic Colossus, in particular, was massively nerfed, now having less DPS than a Monkeylord.

Air and anti-air units have been scaled up in durability and power respectively.

New faction with its own quirks. Extra units for existing factions. New maps. New campaign. Same core gameplay.

Speaking of AI, SupCom2 mentioned they'll have a neural network. Teh lols?

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

I find the AI to be severly lacking in skills in FA
I don't even have to build shields

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

The one thing I haven't seen the FA AI do yet is build fixed artillery. The Classic AI generally had a T3 arty pounding your base by the 30-40 min mark.

Hence the almost utter lack of a need to build shields.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

They aren't that will with static dfenses. I usually rush to build a T2 artillery near his camp and start pounding with that
