I know England won but I still don't think we are playing our best XI. We used 6 bowlers without Collingwood, Pietersen or Bopara bowling who are all useful part time bowlers which suggests to me that we could axe a bowler and stick another batsman in there. I think playing two spinners is a bit of a luxery when Pietersen is capable as a part time spinner. I think Graham Napier should be in for one of the spinners (probably Adil Rashid).

It's ok, we beat Pakistan. England learnt long ago to only fight countries it could colonise, not other colonial powers who could actually put up a fight. They should have paid more attention in history!

Metrex, it isn't only that, but the odds that you can find a full team of good players in a pool of say 6 mil cricket players are significantly higher than finding a full team of good players in a pool of 6000 players. The smaller the pool, the smaller the chance of top players too. And it's a vicious circle... maybe, if i had the posibility to play cricket when i was young (cricket team in the area, or people to play with) i would have been the best cricket player in the world now. no way of knowing, cause i never had the chance to find out.
