Topic: Pinwheel Random Galaxys

Not sure where this should go but, this is another round i am not going to play unless IC changes there random galaxy.

whats the point of it being so random if you can delete the fam you started with and join another fam, and keep doing so until all the friends are in the same fam.  I know you only allowed to delete 1once and you get lucky if a mod resets you.  and mods i know people get breaks compared to others.

its just sad when you have a couple good players, and the next day you log in poof, they deleted and bam! there with everyone else thats trying to delete and make it into a good fam.




I would say change your rules IC, IF ITS A RANDOM GALAXY THERE SHOULD BE NO DELETE BUTTON BESIDES TO LEAVE PINWHEEL AND NOT COME BACK TILL NEXT ROUND.

If people dont like this idea, then why are you playing in a random galaxy.

This is an idea thread post, but to change the delete and rejoin thing for one galaxy would affect them all were they to do it the easy way. See if Stefan likes the idea enough to try it I guess. I honestly think you do have a point that deleting/rejoining does partially take away from it, but then again it comes in handy if you get into a fam of like 1~5 when the others are (or are near) full.

actually, i asked a mod to reset my delete and i have randomed into pw (i wanted to draft into cap) and arsy said that they will not reset the delete until 3-4 days into the round. apart from that, people will always use there 1 delete, it sucks! i had 2 people delete out of the family i am in.

(btw i didn't delete from pw to get to another fam it was because i went in cap but decided i prefer pw)

the huge reason why there are 1 - 5 fams is cause people are deleting if the family joining is so random they can do something where it goes to the smaller fam to new joiners and make it even.

that or have like a 2 day join date, then from there even out the families and get started with ur 3-5 days of getting stuff together then start the round

You can only delete once every 7 days. Or be killed after 48 hours.

Maximal is 2 fams within the first day:
1 starting family (either reshuffled or same fam as last round).
1 family after deleting.


So, how in Gods name, can you be with all your friends if you have about 5% chance to join a friends family?

10 extra people in this fam, and about 4-5 of those people landed in a big family, leaving who probally didnt make it into a big or good fam to go inactive and possibly not play anymore.

its just stupid, sry but i shoulda stayed retired lol, but i figured a few rounds off and IC would have either gotten bigger, or if the gotten smaller like they have sure the hell is that same with less galaxies, normally smaller = more problems can be worked out, less focus areas.  not oh couple galaxies left lets take bigger breaks.

That's okay, they only went to fill up other families!  Nothing wrong with that.  It can definitely suck for you, but that's what it is.

People deserve one opportunity to try and random again in favour of playing with friends they know or like to play with.  Sometimes it works in their favour, other times it does not.

The rules are fine as they are in my opinion.

I agree there should be no delete button.  It would even the families out better.

I do however think that a good system would be to have all people interested in playing PW "sign up" and then after 2 days or so, distribute into fams.  Not sure if that's possible game wise - and I doubt Stefan would code it in.

It could be possible by doing it externally and then have Mods place them into fams - though thats a lot of work.

Fams would be evenly distributed at that time then.

HOWEVER, after that, you still may have people deleting and trying to join other fams - so doesnt really solve that problem either.

They should go to Capri if they wanna play with friends all the time.  I'm sorry but there are friends i wanna play with but I met them through randoming into families and getting to know the family better, where is the fun in playing with the same guys all the time?

Some people may not want to pay money to play with friends in Capri.  Plus, Capri is different playstyle - they might not like it there.

Also, what if someone joins a fam, and finds someone they absolutely detest?  Would never be able to get along with the player.  So they just delete and hope they join somewhere else, rather than play a round which they hate.  Ofcourse they could end up liking the guy if they play with him/her - but not always happens.

They may even random into the same fam, but at least they tried with an out for a more enjoyable experience.

If you guys are the ones who dont like people deleting out of ur fams, cos they dont want to play with you - maybe you should be the ones to go plaly Capri.

I like the whole random aspect, in capri its normally the same people winning every round, sometimes there's a surprise fam.


to me random is random, if i jumped out of a plane to randomly land and if i dont like my spot i cant fly x(  i deal with my given situation and work with it.  that is random smile

What you are saying complete defeats the purpose of a random galaxy.  What is the point in shuffling the gal every two rounds then?

I thought the purpose of the stay in fam option between rounds was to allow friends to play together more than once.  Once the galaxy has been reshuffled however you should accept your fate and stick with your fam.

They only have to stick it out for one round at most, if the whole family doesn't get on with that person they can be killed off.  There are ways round that sort of thing.  You also have to learn to get along with people and be diplomatic about things.  Not just delete everytime you don't like someone in the fam.

People are going to make friends, loose friends, f)<^ friends, its part of IC.


For example i used to F$@#%^&  hate baraethon however its spelled you guys know who im talking about, for like my first 20 some rounds.  Now i talk to the dude almost everyday on msn.  Its a part of life same thing as being random.




or another example lol, if i pick a bag and i dont like whats inside i dont get to put it back and grab a diff one. "for those of you who do the whole gift exchange during x-mas know what im talking about.  i picked a roll of toilet paper with a 5 dollar bill in the middle, so i kinda got lucky, but if i just got the toilet paper, lol x(.  but i woulda been stuck with it
