Topic: Memorial Day Remembrences

This is the weekend of Memorial Day, where we remember our fallen dead.

My own family has some of this history, amongst the very first fallen, at the Battle for Concord Bridge, one of my family paid the price to free our great nation.

He was the drummer boy, killed in combat against the Brits. His brother, my direct ancestor, survived, a minuteman at the battle.

Sadly this history was tracked down by family a number of years ago, and 3 hard-drives later I have lost his name, his actions shall not be forgotten though.

If you have a member of your family, who died in service to your nation, please feel free to post information about this family member, so that we may honor this person. I would ask that SS Troops and others who did direct acts of crimes of humanity not be listed, they are not the ones we seek to remember. But if a soldier of the WWII Germany, Italy, and such died, doing his job, and was no killer of innocents, but an honest soldier, then do see fit to list him here. This also includes females, though there are not so many, if you have one, feel free to list her as well.

Let us remember our fallen in an appropriate way please.

This is a thread for those soldiers who DIED IN THE LINE OF DUTY BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THE HOLIDAY IS ABOUT.

Given there are at least a dozen Veterans here, and we may know some fallen soldiers, respect is due to them even if you will never respect me.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)

Why did I put so much effort in it, if you were going to delete it anyway? X(

Flint, I'm really sorry for the death of your 18th century indirect ancestor.
