But there was a massive amount of pressure on his back.

Michael Owen WAS a very good player. He was not over rated in his prime. Unfortunately he has had too many injuries now and has lost a lot of pace, his pace was his main attribute when he was younger but he has lost it now. He isn't a top player anymore but he is definitely good enough for the premiership. If he leaves he will end up somewhere like Portsmouth, Everton, Fulham, Bolton. He's not good enough for the top clubs anymore.
