Who else thinks random shit in Iran will be blowing up again?

I think the explanation will be something along the lines of "well the US does the same exact thing in Pakistan...so why can't we too?"

Notice this isn't on any of the US news networks. Makes the US look weak in the eyes of its citizens if Obama elects to not respond.

Bombing separatist groups doesn't make it a racial/cultural issue.


Lots of Kurdish regions are attempting to gain independence from their respective nations in order to gain cultural self-determination.  Fair goal.  But in just the same way, many of these nations can't allow independence due to economic concerns.  Example: Iraqi Kurdistan is home to huge amounts of oil fields, Turkish Kurdistan is freaking huge...

Its not in our news because the last thing our news wants to tackle is telling Americans that foriegn affairs like insurgency in a NATO country REALLY matters. It strenghtens Republicans, it costs more to cover than Octomom, and its something above the heads of most journalists. Like everything else in America, "working smarter not harder" means reducing everything to the lowest common denominator. Hey, hear that Brad wants the kids Angelina adopted? We hear about that!  and Obama got a doggy!

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.
