70% of the population in the US give Obama a high grade and think he is a strong leader!

yikes OMG does this mean the republicans are dieing out? Only a rough 30% left, sure they talk like 70% of the population is republican but really, will there ever be another president we can make fun of (e.c. Republican)?

Re: 100 days later

Things can really turn around, you know. At one point Bush had an approval rating over 80%, and it looked like things would result with the end of those Liberal swine. But actually, I thought Obama' approval rating was something more like in the high 50 or low 60 percentage?

Re: 100 days later

just saying what i heard on the news here earlier this morning, other sources prolly have other value.

Also, only reason why bush was near the 80% was becouse of 9/11 and the feeling of 'brotherhood' it gave

Saddam and the Baath party had even higher approval.

Re: 100 days later

Clearly if 70% of the population believe it, you can spend more on credit to solve a problem with spending too much on credit.

Re: 100 days later

Ummmmm what's the poll? Because over half think the country is headed the wrong direction

so I guess Obama is a nice guy who can't be blamed (yet) for the hell exploding around us?

Re: 100 days later

Honestly... we haven't seen effects of policies yet.

The vast majority of people can't cite a particular Obama  policy which has stopped their economic hardships.  Unless that can be done, it means Obama's fellowship is still in the honeymoon period.  In other words, people are supporting Obama based on perception, not on policy results.

Re: 100 days later

I will say, that after Clinton's first 100 days, his staff went on TV saying "what's this 100 days crap anyhow, WE never said it meant anything"
So obama aint having the worst time of some recent presidents

I hear Egypt killed all their pigs in order to stop the flu from spreading.

Isreal is planning to kill all their neighbours to stop the flu.

Obama is planning to spend some cash.

And Bill Clinton is planning to sleep with some women if that helps.

Policians are all the same, idiots that are after money, power or women.

Re: 100 days later

look at the pools that hsow that 50% of americans think we're heading in the right direction. This is vs 24% who though so when bush left office. ^.^

Strongly approve numbers are 2% above strongly disapprove. Mildly approve numbers are a lot higher than mildly disapprove--everyone's just praying that they didn't [ ] up electing Obama. They're remaining confident and supportive because this HAS to work or they [ ] themselves.

exactly! And when those two from Maine, and a couple of others *cough*McCain*cough* are out of the party... and when the rest go conservative... they will return in droves.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Re: 100 days later

In 1778, then George Washington president and leader of the US, had a vision,or whatever, predicted a dark cloud that would invade the US. That the US would face it's most perilous moments, then following 4 years, a new white cloud would rize again and fight back the dark clouds. And one of the more strange comments was that Pigs would fly which would note the start of the the war that the US would fall in.

That is where the the very old statement "when Pigs could Fly" would came from.

Well, when you take into account our current status with Obama, the economy, our weakend state of our military, our low opinion, our abandonment of the constituion... bam! 100 days later Swine Flu?

Was this all prophecy? I am not making racist comment here.. but, holy crap.

Re: 100 days later

70%?? ha, I saw a report that said 49%.. and when they broke that down, you basically got about 12% that truely happy with him.. the remaining 37% were varios degree's of approval. Most of them were more or less closer to the middle of hte road.

The spin was that even the "partially appeased" people were lumped into the "jubilant" inorde to hype up the approval of his administration.

Re: 100 days later

No they protect him to keep what little ratings they have left up as they can... If it is known that he is a craptard then they will go out of business finally as no one will watch/read them anymore.

Re: 100 days later

I think they're dumb enough that they'll follow the media and whatever excuses Obama gives as our economy continues to tank as we become more equally poor as every single socialist nation has before us.

Re: 100 days later

What I find very irritating is the "experts" who keep saying "conservatives are only 30% of the country" so conservatives need to give up

Conservatives have never been 50% of the country

But conservatives have won more than 50% of the vote

Clearly people will vote conservative or liberal without calling themselves conservative or liberal

And the expert advice needed is persuading them to do that

Every centrist using this argument is a phony and a liar

And most of them use it
