oh yeh, well the 200% speed is good but other than that?? surely the -30% bonus hits you pretty hard seeing as you would either have to build a lot more RC than if you had 50% research or else you are purely funding cash into it which by itself would have to be quite a lot.
why don't you just build LQ's and pop bank to cover upkeep?

about the whole SS thingy, camaar is probaly the best race to choose to go SS (i would use it) if you need someone to spell out the benefits than you obviously don't understand the game too well yet.

the only concieveable benefit i see for the camaar is the 200% speed, nothing else sets it apart tbh.
