your fam must be pretty shitty
Many ways to play SS, so it depends on the players and what they do with it. A good SS players still cooperates with his fam, as I often take care of new players joining fams and so on while I play SS. Some round is fun to play SS, and some not. Been in fams who got inactive exept me and 1 or 2 others, and we fought like crazy anyway. Then its great to be SS, and be able to have some kills not depending on a fallen fam 
I dont like the restrains of most fam strats, so I like SS strats when the fam im in is totaly out of course with what I belive is the best way to do the fam strat.
I have no idea who is the best, as there is so many ways and strats to do it. Some of the best probably never even surface in forums, cause they are just playing it without showing of
My brother was pretty good at SS. He was leader of his family, and would attack his family members and take their planets. They would complain and ask him what he was doing, but never did they vote in a new leader. No idea why not.
Sad for them, pretty funny to him.

yes it was lol u had hydrop in ur fam and me and slaxer and orange were ur allies and we killed my arch enemy archangel and won the round in all catagories

I dont know why youre still claiming him to be a good SS when hes obviously received large amounts of aid from his family thats not really an SS at when the family is helping build you up.
besides, its rather easy to be SS when you have a family protecting you. nothing like sitting back and infra whoring while the family attackers do the fighting and keep you safe even if you arent helping them.

umm...exactly. the NAP required 300 planets. therefore, you paid for the NAP without costing us any infra.
I'm kinda SS this round although when later a new member joined he could be my attacker and send some stuff
got a banker race and am playing banking style though.
EDIT: And I think I'm doing pretty good.

and i think some poeple have forgotton what SS is
I am fairly sure though that a lot of those resources other than food actually get sent back. Parrot sends them to be nice and gets them back atleast on some occasions, don't know if that is all the time =p
I was gonna suggest looking at aid shipments back... cause sometimes leaders will send resources around to SS trying to feign fam teamwork or to make it less obvious someone is SS and possibly a weak spot. It's always good to check

the fact is if James BlunT was not in our fam he would not be like this - if he was in a 15-25 rank fam he would be farmed off by someone
its really easy to say 'amazing SS players' when there living under the wing of a massive fam in a fully safe core
