Title says it all. I personally believe that it is none of our police officers business if we voluntarily send nude pictures of ourselves to people we know. It makes me mad that 18 year olds are being put on the sex offender list and basically ruining their lives because of a nude picture. This has definately crossed the line.
what are your thoughts?
If the person you are sending it to is expecting it, sure.
Otherwise no. These people need to be taught basic decency.
Yeah its more or less an invasion of privacy. I read about how an 18 year old got put on the sex offender list for having a nude photo of his 16 year old ex girlfriend. He was arrested and charged with child pornography. I think that is bullshit personally.
Depends what he was doing with the photo...
Nothing. She was mad that they broke up and called the police on him. He didn't post it on the internet or anything, he just had it in his phone.
If he showed it to people, throw the book at him.
Otherwise, and since you cant really prove that he was showing it around, i agree that it was absurd to charge him...

If one individual of age sends a nude photo to another individual as long as the other person does not feel harassed by it, i.e. if a complete stranger were to send you a photo, I don't think it should be a crime. As long as the person receiving it is ok with it I don't see a problem. Again that's for people of age.
I think the punishment is just too severe...this basically ruins your life and to think that a thing like this could basically kill your life/career/future plans is scary and it possibly just could've been all done on a crazy night while you were drunk or high

As far as I'm concerned, a 16 year old should meet the standard of "age of consent" and the "age of consent" should have no limitations. For example, my state says that 16 year olds have reached the age of consent, but there are limitations where an adult can still be charged with statutory rape for copulating with a 16 year old.
They have to make the law stupid and complicated like the law makers always do.

Kids today got too much free time and fripperies! In my day we had to patch the screen door and weed the garden, brush down the oxen and do bayonet drill before we could go down to Frog Creek and kill small animals til it got dark!

Why would you try and scare exchange students? Won't they just think wtf and never come back 
Zidi age of consent here is 18, after that anything goes as far as the 16 yr old thing, only thing that means is when u turn between 14-16 your medical crap can be handled alone if you want (aka u can ask for mom to leave the room) other than that its 18, screwing a 16yr lands u in jail
