Re: When did this happen?

You would not normally say a fat white man because the fat part is redundant

Re: When did this happen?

Wow, there must be a whole area of racial colloquialism I didn't even know about, because I thought at first it was a topic about digging tools.

Totally regardless of the racial sensitivity issues, couldn't you use a slur that is not so easily mixed up with a common gardening tool?

"Totally regardless of the racial sensitivity issues, couldn't you use a slur that is not so easily mixed up with a common gardening tool?"

it's not a slur it's an expression.  It doesn't refer to anyone or anything in particular it just means calling something what it is.  When someone says "Let's call a spade a spade." it means speak plainly and don't dance around the issues.  So rather than calling someone a certified automobile mechanical engineer you just call them a mechanic.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Re: When did this happen?

A person of non caucasian descent ambulated past the open door?

"So, it's defeat for you, is it? Someday I must meet a similar fate..."
