Anyone else stay up/get up early to watch the race in melbourne, live?
't was an immense start to the season 
. How sexy are those Brawn-merc cars?! I was a faithful fan of Coulthard until he retired at the end of last year, my main man now is Heidfeld! I think he'll manage a top3 finish this year. Though he's never won a race, I think it's his time :0.

This new round will have alot more teams in a competitive position, should add preassure to ferrari and mclaren, who are used to being so dominant., mistakes will have bigger effect on the outcomes too.

Hamilton got quite lucky eh?! 4/5 cars in front of him crash on the first corner, vettel/kubica (two cars in front of him n trulli) smash into each other on the 3rd from last lap, silly trulli takes back his position from hamilton after safety car comes out and gets penalised.
Trulli did great imo, just a shame about that. And who would've thought button/barrichello would finish 1st/2nd?! Between them they had 1 podium position the whole of last season, and have scored more points in this 1st race than they did in the whole of last season. Nice cars.

shame about webber getting screwed over in the 1st corner....

Who would have thought it a couple of months ago, second race of the season grid Ferrari are 7th and 16th while mclaren are 12th and 14th

Due to horrifically heavy rain, and a lack of visibility, the race was ended at 31 of 56 laps - half points.

Decent race, too short though. Would have been interesting to see how many lasted if they restarted the race

Rough race, but luckily no one really took anyone else out. Great to watch - mucho battles. Just lots of rain sending cars off every 2 mins.
