Topic: We The People

Ever notice that if we followed the Constitution and the advice of the founders we wouldn't have nearly the number of problems we have today?

Executive orders? Nope!
Wars without a declaration from Congress? Sorry!
Income Tax? HA!
A Central Bank (the Federal Reserve) and a fiat currency? Thank GOD NO!
Entangling alliances. NO
Government involving itself in marriage of any kind? (Read the first amendment) NO!
the UN? omg.. look up the original 13th Amendment.

Friendship and trade with all nations? YES

If only we followed the Constitution.. seems like a dream.

Re: We The People

Now we are the most powerful Empire on earth. Following the constitution would bring bad results.

Re: We The People

Bad results for the money changers (IMF / World Bank)

Re: We The People

So much more than that... like shifting the balance of power and reducing our control of resources.

Re: We The People

We have the technology for water powered combustion engines. They have been made, though the designers always seem to die.
We have the resources. I don't know why we would need to control anywhere else but our own country.

The separation of powers is key to controlling our government.
What we need to do is follow the law. If we need to change it we can, through amendments.

Re: We The People

For those of us who are not Americans (most of the world) this may be a good thing. Sure I wouldnt like, say, a Pol Pot kind of character having the most power and resources, but hardly as if it's been ideal with the USA in that position. Seems to be changing slowly. Although I wouldn't be sad to have the influence of the US reduced per se, the alternatives are not that attractive so you get my 'good luck' by default.

Gondor: wtf, im not even mentioned. I was the glue to this family. Thats BS!
Econ: Gondor, if you were the glue, then I was the glue sticky thing that applies the glue.
(edit: I believe that's called the brush).
Torqez: Econ you forgot the part where you say "and I made Torqez delete!"
