My question stands, how would light in a spaceship work when traveling at lightspeed
it would work only half as funky as light works in a spaceship that travels at twice the speed of light

I thought this one up on my own, and know the answer, so I doubt you'll find it on the net.
Imagine air is flowing in and along a pipe at 666kmph, and a bee is caught in this airflow. Assume that the bee will always travel at the same velocity of the airflow. If the pipe's diameter of 2X reduces to X so as to accelerate the air as cleanly as possible, what will the new velocity of the bee be? And I'd like an explanation.

Aro, because the spaceship is it's own frame of reference. The people in the spaceship can just as validly say they are stationary and are watching Earth travel away from them at the speed of light, so how does light work on Earth? ![]()
Light is also special in that the speed of light is constant to all observers in all frames of reference. i.e. if a spaceship is travelling at the speed of light and shines a light out of the front, the speed of that light will be measured as c by both the people in the spaceship and the observer on Earth.
Unfortunately Pixies, I don't find fluid mechanics nearly interesting enough to even bother to look up the relation between flow speed and cross section

1224kmph or 340m/s
One explanation:
dA/A = (M^2 - 1)*(dV/V)
Cross sectional area = A
Velocity = V
Mach number = M
As dA/A is negative (we're looking at a converging nozzle),
and dV/V is positive (velocity of fluid will increase with convergence),
the value of (M^2 - 1) must be negative - or limiting towards 0.
Therefore the answer is M=1, which is the speed of sound which we assume by default is at sea level = 340m/s = 1224kmph.

Wrong! There are two possible outcomes:
A) The new diameter of the pipe is smaller then the bee. The bee will get stuck. It's fat behind means it's velocity is zero.
B) Your use of 666 has called the anti-christ. The world has now ended. Armageddon destroyed the pipe and killed the bee. It's velocity is zero.
