Re: Space: The Third Story.
Jeodan was watching his viewscreen as the Morningstar slowly passed his own super-battleship. Not long after a second super-battleship passed the viewscreen: It was the Cy'Tan ship named Fist and Jeodan had taken command of the one called Hammer. He went over the ships offensive and defensive capabilities once more.
60 rotatable Atlas Sling modules: Mass drivers taken to a higher level.
24 Laser mark V's
14 Harpoon missile systems
Tri-Strontium armour
The engines were outfitted, like the other two super ships, with Slipstream drives which enabled other ships that are closeby to tag allong in hyperspace or in an instant jump.
"Sir... The Talus have just jumped to hyperspace." The UEF officer at the sensor array said.
" Something about an uprising." The Cy'Tan at the communications console added.
"Will they make it to the rendez-vous point in time for the invasion?" Jeodan asked.
"They are confident that they will."
Jeodan then looked back at the specs:
4 PDcombo centers: Combining point defence and ECM technology.
Subspace rebounders.
Thousands upon thousands of men in full combat armour sit in the belly of the beast protected by 4 frigates that are ready to cover the landing craft as soon as the hatches open.
The ship itself looked like an oversized Kedelbe. It had one main block extending all the way to rear of the ship. Two attachments on each side of the ship starting from the middle extending outwards and back in like a trapezoid at the engines. Two more blocks each holding the power generators and another set of engines. They started smack in the middle of the trapezoid and extended back.
"Jump!"
And the three massive ships around Blacken dissapeared.
Much to the content of stargazer Robert Of Anztoch. Ever since he was a kid he had gazed upon the stars from his small village, hoping to reach for more. He moved to Blacken under the guise of an entrepreneur with a small company that sells beauty products. But his real plan was to buy a large telescope and look upon the stars until he grew old. But for now he had to with a small one. Every morning to work he cursed for not buying something closer to home and every evening he praised himself for making a sensible decision.
"Come inside honey, or it will get cold." His wife Ellen said with her usual demanding yet caring voice. The smell of Alc-omie meat sifting through the air.
"Just a sec, those ships finally moved." Robert replied with glee. Any normal person would have taken every second to see the the monsters of the fleet, but Robert would rather watch the Tompichi nebulae. From his little village far away it was visible with cheap equipment. But from Blacken he needed relatively expensive tools to even find it. It is the only thing in the night-sky that he could identify clearly as the same.
As a kid he was fascinated by its shape and here from blacken just a bit further away he saw back in time. It was a little different from here but he knew exactly where each part would move and become the shape he had grown accustomed to. And in a sense that was what made even more beautiful then before.
All he needed was for the business to make a little more revenue before he could buy a small space ship, write it off as a business expense and take a vacation and go there. Go there... his stomac seemed to move every time he spoke or thought those two words.
