Well I wouldn't say Memphis dominated Miss State, but it was definately a good game and a good win for Memphis.  Kinda not as easy to win when its not C-USA   Michigan State will be a good test for them as well.

Davidson beating GU was a great win and I thought Tenn was gonna go down too.

UNC has proven to be a pretty dominate team so far in the tourney as well, I wouldn't mind seeing UNC vs. Memphis in the finals...though I wouldn't mind seeing Memphis lose earlier though

I cant believe Miss. St. came back on Memphis in the second half.... O well... at least we're Sweet 16 bound!!!! GO TIGERS!!!!

So who's the lesser of two evils: louisville or ut?

Davidson, Western Kentucky, & Villanova I hope all make it to the Elite 8!!!

Alright, I'm gonna be the first to say that Memphis looked like a damn good team tonight and definately impressed me....there joe are you happy

Kansas also looked really strong in their game, there are going to be some good matchups in the Elite 8:

UNC vs Louisville
Kansas vs Davidson
Memphis vs Texas
UCLA vs Xavier

I think that UCLA/Kansas have the easiest routes to the final four....Texas/Louisville are gonna be a test for both UNC and Memphis

yeah that 73% really "killed" them, but look at there shooting through out the other 30+ games theyve played, under 60% on the season i belive. and michigan state isnt exactly a powerhouse anyway, they were over seeded in my opinion and ive thought that since the begining of the tourny. they basicly depend on nietzel being hot every time they play and well he wasnt and when they are like that, even coppin state could beat them (if you dont know coppin state is a horrible, horrible team). Memphis didnt even look impressive in there close loss to tennesse, which tennesse didnt either and memphis still got beat. they are way overrated and will get beat by a underrated texas team which i belive shoulda gotten a one seed. which brings me to my other point, memphis and kansas will be the only one seeds not to make into the final four this year, ucla and NC will both make it along with davidson and texas.

but look at their record out of the other 30+ games they've played, its 35-1.  Thats with teams fouling them like hack-a-shaq and with pulling out tight games.  And btw, you will say thats against a bunch of minor C-USA teams, well UAB had an RPI of 45 and Houston of 70.  Also, Memphis beat Georgetown, USC, UCONN, Villanova, Cincinnati, Arizona, Oklahoma, Gonzaga, Siena (who made the second round, mind you), Mississippi State, and with their lonely loss to the #2 team in the country at the time.

People say overrated, plays in a crappy conference, can't hit free throws, year after year after year.  And yet every time Memphis makes the Elite 8, and this time have a legit shot at the Final 4.  If people don't want to wake up and smell the coffee, thats fine, just don't whine when Memphis takes home a little jewelry and a piece of thread from the net after the tourney is said and done.

'Cept for 1997 when they (as a #15 seed) beat South Carolina (a #2 seed) becoming only the second 15 seed in history to win a game.

My Final 4 was: Memphis, Duke, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.  At least 2 of them are still alive.

foohon-clover, you screwed yourself over by not picking Memphis!!!!  now, lets go worry about our free throw shooting, because obviously its going to cost us a game and Coach Calipari, who's been to 2 Final 4's and 3 straight Elite 8's, has no idea what he's doing as a coach.
