Black history is littered with rascism but that doesn't mean that black history itself is rascist. I stand by my first post in here that people shouldn't define themselves by their race, but black history is no more rascist than saying French history is rascist for focussing on the French.

People claim that having "white history" would be seen as rascist. However, the vast majority of recorded history in the western world is "white history", it is just called by different names and subdivided along national or regional rather than strictly racial lines. If it was suddenly called "white history" tomorrow it probably would be seen as rascist and it clearly would be a racially motivated thing to do, because there is no logical reason for amalgamating the whole history of Europe for example into one subject called "white history". It would be a totally contrived thing to do.

On the other hand "black history" charts the history of multinational people in a story stretching across continents from the start of the black slave trade right through to the 1960s. The reason it is called black history is because the one common thread through the whole story is discrimination against black people. It is logical to group the events of black history together because they refer to the same group of people, and it is logical to call it black history because the thing that unites those people is that they are black. This is no different from the history of France charting the story of the people of France and being called the history of France because the fact that they are all French is the most obvious uniting factor through the story.

Destroyyoutoo, as for your comment a couple of pages ago about black inventors I'm disappointed in you. I would expect that kind of crap from Deci but I thought you were better than that.

Thats different, since france is a place. black isnt a place tongue.

Black is simply a different colour of your skin, which means nothing and does nothing to social progress.


More importantly can analytically look at a certain culture, country or civilization and say 'hey, this is what they did. this is how they stuffed up'.
Doing this for blacks is abusrd. We might as well have female history month, border collie history month, and purple chicken history month too...
