Topic: Black History Month

Its black history month and its almost over. I wouldnt feel right if i didnt bring it up. So i want to take the time to thank all the successful Black people that pass away and the present. From Marcus garvey to President Obama. Black people came along way to get to point of having a black president. Anyway, black have over the years became the most successful race of people almost like a "dominant" race. We over the years and all over the world is beginging to own just as much as "the man". I did turn on TV a week ago and every channel was either slavery or Tuskegee Airmen and I said "is it black history month or something?...oh"

They need more shows on booker t washington and frederick douglass

the only thing done to celebrate my heritage nationally is for one day we need to wait several hours for a beer in a pub and everyone gets drunk and says, hey, im irish, because im drunk off my ass. damn [] have it too good.

It only a hate crime when a black person says i hate white people or they beat the white guy ass just because he white. Its the same for white and black people.

As far as "Equal Opportunity" Black people do they job just as good as a white dude or even better. We took over almost thing that white "was" good at. Now, black people have a black man in the presidency of the United states. Name one thing that white does better than black people. Then i show u a black person that does it just as good or [even!] better.

yup..
But before if sum1 was half white and black they killed them cause they saw him as black person not white. I guess now since we have a half white n black president now white want to agrue that he not fully black. So they could say their race is better funny rednecks.

Bonanza, if Martin Luther King read what you consider to be a celebration of Black History Month, he would turn over in his grave.

You're reinstating the same damn racism that was fought against by saying that African Americans are better than other races.  That's just as prejudicial as a Caucasian saying that they can do anything better than an African American.

When i was going through sign up for my college i walked to the next table in line (Equal Opportunity grant/funding) and they said "If your not black then don't bother stopping"

The way the guy said it was fairly hilarious

My favorite quote from college would have been from my first roommate (a white guy) who said "I didn't know i was going to a black college...." ROFLMAO - Our college was the most racially diverse of the state college's. Lots of Latinos, Asians and Africans (Mainly from New York City or souther USA)

Ironically, the roommate who replaced my first one was a black guy... lol

If you going to celebrate in the USA for what African Americans have done you should celebrate Crispus Attucks. Without him getting shot in the head we might not have a USA! I haven't seen Rosa Parks mentioned either.
