Of course, because you just want to be right lol

It's like if I ask you to explain to me what it's like to be addicted to cocaine. You only know what you hear, what you read about and what you think you know.

I'm not. I'm not blaming anybody for the downfall of black people so to speak. I was simply arguing that nobody believed that the government had anything to do with the drugs being pumped into the black community throughout the 70's, 80's

Re: A war on my race

Being addicted to cocaine is like being addicted to most anything else. No one has to do blow to understand addiction. That's the biggest cop-out.

Re: A war on my race

Yes, but that's not a fact, that's a theory. There's a lot more to being addicted to cocaine that there is to being addicted to say pornography. We're not talking about "addiction" we're talking about being addicted to cocaine. There are specific differences. Different hardships and different steps to recovery. Different urges, different reactions.  Having herpes is not the same as having cancer. But both are permanent illnesses

Re: A war on my race

The point is, so what. A person who has never used cocaine is still more than capable of knowing what a user of cocaine has to do to not use cocaine; namely, not use cocaine. Just because someone isn't a coke-head doesn't mean they have no right to say "HEY ADDICT, STOP USING COCAINE YOU STUPID ****."

[I wish I could obey forum rules]

Re: A war on my race

No. But a person who doesn't use cocaine has no authority to say they understand what that person is going through. It's like a virgin telling you how to control yourself from not cumming too early. I mean...what do they know about sex? lol

So if you have no experience with something, your opinion only counts to a certain extent.

Re: A war on my race

So if I had done pot or cocaine I would better understand why it's a problem? What can't I understand about them being addictive substances (not so much pot, but meth, heroin, whatever else) that is ruining the lives of people in poor areas which have a disproportionately high rate of using them? The opinions of people who say that drug use in poor ghettos is a problem "counts less" because they aren't drug users?

Yeah. That's an enlightened position. Never point out what anyone else is doing to ruin their lives if you've never ruined your life in that way. You are inherently ignorant (your opinion counts less), even if you are educated, aware, and entirely correct.

Re: A war on my race

See, now you're talking about something completely different. You're not staying to the specific topic.

If we're using your logic, I can say, me, Nolio the virgin can understand how sex addiction is ruining marriages and what we need to do to help these married couples.

You're trying to generalize something when we're talking about a completely different situation.

Once you start to do that then anymore discussion is a waste of time.

We may as well start a debate on why it is that fat people aren't losing weight lol

YES)
Your judgement is flawed because you have a bias.

NO)
Your opinion is flawed because if your statement is true it negates itself.

Its because of alot of things. Society is a major part of it.

Your a virgin?

How can you NOT understand it?

(Sex + addiction) = (need for sex + impulse - satisfaction) = ruined marriage

In what part of fatasses consuming more calories than they burn does society have a role?

The statement that one has never been addicted to cocaine negates itself? Whatever you say.

* In the encouragement of their inactivity.

* In the encouragement of low fibre, high fat consumption.
* In the encouragement of incorrect habits.
* etc.

No dipshit, in the statement that you cant understand something unless you have experienced it first hand.
If Nolio has never experienced cocaine, how can he say that you cant understand it unless you've experienced it first hand?

He cant.

That would kill the thread! We've made fun of the idiot for long enough. It'd be sadistic to continue on topic. Despite what he claims, not all of us white guys are sadistic. Lets argue about the Taliban big_smile. I say, we pay the Chinese to invade Pakistan. The coalition forces can then move eastward and squash those pesky pro-Taliban groups yikes.

Or we can argue the upcoming war in Korea yikes.

Re: A war on my race

Alright... The government is not actively pursuing a genocide on Blacks. Also, not all Blacks were involved in slavery. African Americans and Indians were the main slave races in America. I happen to be the ladder. It should be said, reparative instutions have been instated, welfare is was initially created to help former slave families with a starting point to become productive citizens. As well as Affirmative Action to bring them into the white collar sector. And it should be said to the White American's credit that people gave their lives and fought against their own brothers in order to free the slaves.
There are a lot of Indians and African Americans living in poverty now. My father was able to pursue a successful career and he was able to pull our families name out of that category. I have been fortunate. I see the main problem at this point is a hatred still burning. This unending anger which associates this poverty with slavery. And it is associated, but slavery really isn't the only culprit. The hatred causes a timidity of entering "the white man's" world, but this "white man's" world is reality, made possible by discoveries. Japan's world (even though isolated for so long) is surprisingly similar to "the white man's" world. This hatred which is perpetuated by nurture and jealousy also discourages former-slave generations from even trying to succeed because they believe the white man really wants to hold them down (or give them aids). Well... I know that the majority of whities I know would not hesitate to give a more qualified black man a job. Maybe this is new (obama?), or maybe this is how it has always been.
However, it is true that a handful of government officials (fbi, customs, etc) were able to coordinate accessability of cocaine for gang members. People have come forward. This HIV thing is ridiculous though, the first instance was recorded in Africa and it is known how dangerous and widespread STDs are. Any official who would spread this into any population (especially the scientist who creates it) would know that this epidemic would not be contained. So unless they were doomsday fans and blind murderers, this is unlikely. Anyways, back to cocaine supply. Maybe there are still people who work for the government that believe in hurting Black impoverished society enough to make this plan or maybe there are just corrupt people who got a wacky get rich quick idea that they knew they were capable of. Either one is likely, but for the purpose of this discussion if it is the former then I would hypothesize that it is not a majority of elites who feel this sort of hatred against blacks. But this handful of officials gave gangs easier access to cocaine sources. The gangsters figured out they could transform cocaine into even more profitable (and more addictive) crack. Their neighborhoods got hooked and a lot of people's priorities changed from family to drugs. Also this gave gangs the funds necessary to acquire guns, which they seized because they wanted more power. This falls on the hatred/anger at the white man and "his" society again. Feeling unable to achieve in the white mans world, they search for other sources of power and wealth. This was found in drugs and extortion. They also were getting respect, which can be a stronger incentive than money. So, of course gun entrepenuers would flock to a boomtown, they would have been stupid not to. Making the situation worse, gangster rap was accepted and idolized all over. This glamourized the murder, thievery, and dishonesty that can destroy a society. Still making matters even worse is the lack of accountability felt by the populations involved. Many Blacks I've talk to about this believe the HIV/Gun Shop/Drug conspiracy idea. Maybe also perpetuated by oral tradition, but I don't think it's true to the extent that has been expressed in this forum. I have researched into it a lot and have only seen evidence for this "drug butterfly effect" theory.

I must say I am happy that Obama was elected because this could finally be the moment that these former-slave families (and the ones who aren't but choose to include themselves as such) have the inspiration they need to make those first steps into success.

PS. It should be noted Obama is not a member of the former-slave generations. His father and his ancestry lived in Kenya.

PSS. Dont give me the unintelligent post crap that you gave before when the guy said rap hurts the society. I think he was spot on. Even Kanye West emphasizes that he was so successful without caring about school. What a terrible message.

Re: A war on my race

Why would Obama's election be the moment that former-slave descendents get inspiration they need to make their first steps toward success? As you stated, Obama's ancesters were NEVER slaves, and half of his ancestors were white. It would be ignorant to presume that his election has ANYTHING to do with the descendents of slaves in the USA... or it would be ignorant to say that descendents of slaves in the USA would think it inspirational... ... ... or descendents of slaves in the USA would have to be ignorant to think it inspirational that a mixed race man whose black ancestors were never slaves was elected President.

Why does it make you happy that ignorant people think one of theirs was elected president? Why does it make you happy to insult poor blacks in this country so much as to say that they require a mixed race man whose ancestors were not their ancestors be elected president in order to inspire their success?

Evil is not a man in a cape. Evil is the fruit of thoughtlessness.

Re: A war on my race

Fanc, I say that because of what I see. I was stating that same irony if you noticed. It's a good thing that people in that category finally will have the confidence they need.
Explain to me how this "Evil is the fruit of thoughtlessness" pertains?

Re: A war on my race

Anyone who was inspired to "make those first steps into success" because they're black and Obama had a black father is already chugging failsauce. Their ancestors were Africans. Their (the majority of black Americans) ancestors have lived in the Americas for hundreds of years. Obama's ancestors were whites and Africans. His ancestors were white and free people in Africa until recently. They share next to (or absolutely) no heritage or culture. He says he understands them, with his ivy league education and wealth, and his skin is dark enough so they buy it. That's thoughtlessness. That's not the kind of "thinking" [lack thereof] that should guide anyone's, let alone a nation's, politics.

I disagree with his politics, but it's no secret that it's not his politics but his PR machine and his one black parent that have made the biggest splash.

Re: A war on my race

William, read my post. There is an anger that brews in that culture of which one cause is a lack of success stories outside of the entertainment industry. It is good for all society to put an end to this anger so we can move on. You need to open your tiny opinion and see the big picture... Whether or not obama is sincere, it is a positive event for the big picture of integrating these peoples into society.

I am not pouting for obama. I don't believe in handouts. Redistribution of wealth is not plausible because when people who are not accustomed to money suddenly are given a sum, it doesn't end ideally. My strongest evidence for this is when monetary aid was given to the impoverished (anecdotal: Katrina aid), many chose to spend the money buying drugs from gangs. So when the aid was sent, there was an even bigger jump in coordinated crime because gangs were buying cars and such from all this money coming into the area being spent on drugs. What needs to be invested in is opportunties. No one should recieve a handout because it damages incentives. My father is a success story because he had the incentive to become a doctor. He made a huge risk acquiring loans and later joining the Navy since grad school was outta the question without it. He recognized the risk and worked very hard because he had value attached to what he was spending. Unfortunately, if you GIVE someone money, even in the form of scholarship, a large majority will not respect what was given because THEY did not earn it.
