As he is travelling he stumbles across an old, wrinkled and faded scroll laying on the ground. He barely makes it out, "Join in the Tournament of Fate, where fame and fortune is to be had". And suddenly everyone roleplays X(
Sounds good, guys. r3quim, the only thing that bugs me in your description is the way he discovers about the tournament. It's been centuries since the tournament last occurred and it used to be a religious tradition. It's not going to have signs lying around
For the rest, you guys can get started! Introduce your character into the world!

Description: Alfredo was given a relatively modest town to govern from his father but he was always a fighting man. Each month there would be a competition to beat him in a fair battle, the prize was becoming the head of the town in all governing affairs, and all the perks that it brought with it.
The last couple of years there were no challengers, noone dared oppose him. It made him sad, so sad that he would go incognito into the local bars at night and pick fights with anyone that seemed like a challenge.
And the fights were mostly about spoils to a fair maiden. Undoubtedly he has several children he knows nothing about nor cares about.
When news of the tournament reached him he waisted no time to pack up and leave, of course after electing a governor first.
I might join. Though playing Ryzom for three months now tempts me to sign up as some sort of mage-knight-crafter, I will refrain.
Name: Stonehawk.
Age: Who knows anymore? I don't. If you really want a number, roll 6d6x25.
Class: Human thaumatologist.
Equipment: A quill pen, gigantic spellbook, twenty-sided watery diamond magic focus, a pair of ruby spectacles, a set of blue robes with silver trim, and some magic wooden gloves.
Description: Fascinated with magic since his earliest days, he has sought not merely to learn the art of magic, but also to learn its structure - the things that make magic tick. Where his colleagues concentrated on the practical, Stonehawk sought to learn the theoretical. Never afraid to tinker despite the dangers, he has been credited with the invention of numerous useful - and often highly lethal - spells.
He is old now, unassuming to the eye, the subject of jokes made by the town's younger generations. But the elders know better. Everyone remembers the last time someone tried to attack his hometown. Everyone knows what happened to that foolish deity. The statue of black marble thus generated still stands fifty miles south of the town.
He is now a traveler passing by Singador in search of old texts from which to continue his hazardous research into time manipulation, which has already claimed the lives of many of his fellow humans (and countless mice). With the Tournament of Fate approaching, though, he begins to question himself - has he done enough with his life...?
Sounds good, if not powerful ![]()
Dont worry, his ass is grass
He's a scientist, not a soldier. If I get my hat around to actually participating, I'll do my best to RP that trait (and not destroy the universe
).
Name: Ka, formerly Ka Ah out of Ok by Ga Ah of Sou Pride
Age: Approximately 30 (see Description)
Doka
Equipment: Iron shackles, iron chains, iron balls, and an Iron Mask.
Description:
Ka Ah is the son of Ok, a former Rah Pride female who was forcibly impregnated by Ga Ah during an attack by the Sou Pride upon the Rah Pride. It became apparent soon after his birth that Ka had taken more blood from his mother, Ok, than his father, Ga, who became increasingly hateful of the son who thought more than he fought. Ka was nothing like Ga, and yet he was clearly destined for greatness. Jealous, Ga denounced Ka on his eighth birthday, and made him a slave, binding his face in a mask that bit his jaw should it open too wide, ensuring that Ga's word would never be questioned again. Ok dissapeared, never to be seen again.
As Ka began to reach physical maturity Ga had him shackled, bound to great iron balls that slowed his feet to a laborious pace and restricted his hands to no higher than his torso.
During his sixteenth year Ka stopped taking note of the passage of time, mainly to preserve his own sanity.
It was during Ka's twenty sixth year that Ga returned from an attack on Keh Pride with a battered and traumatised young female called Am, who would die giving birth to a son later that year. It would take Ga four years to realise that Ba, his son, was not developing Sou features but Rah features, like those of his former mate Ok... or like those of the slave, Ka.
When Ga's neighbours were finally brave enough to enter the home of the greatest warrior the Doka had ever known, the home from which such terrible noises had come, they found Ka cradling Ba's body by the embers of the fire, and Ga slumped upon the hearth, his body beaten almost beyond recognition.
Ga was burned without ceremony, his life ended without note, and stories of the Doka who was as cruel and fearsome as he was great became taboo. It was decided that although they could not imprison Ka a moment longer, they could not free him either. As the elders, now free from the fist of Ga, deliberated this paradox the invitation to the tournament arrived for Ga.
As the infant, Ba, was buried Ka was sent place of Ga, to meet what would hopefully be a swift and merciful death.
Hokabokabungabooo
Most confusing description ever. Could n't pick better names? ![]()
Approved though. I'm glad to see someone using the less obvious race.
I also apologise for the low activity on my part, but my new school semester started and they kind of went for the "lots of work, right away" approach, so I'm regretting the timing.
We stll need everybody to post their initial entrance, so don't worry about it ![]()
Name: Rusty Nail ( Human Translation: I would write the Ogre version of the name but the page aint big enough) ![]()
Age: Unknown ( MOST Ogres can only count to ten, and only ten of those at that, after that they are simply called old).
Race: Mountain Ogre.
Equipment: One Giant ass kicking Double-sided Axe, only has studded leather Armor, an Iron Helm with Horns (for Bull charging Rushes). And a small Knife (really a sword, but compared to rusty it looks like a knife) mainly for picking his teeth.
History: (OK here goes I'm n00b to this so bare with me please).
Rusty was born in the Moutains of the Blue Star, Named so for the fisrt star to rise in the evenings and seen by all that inhabit the plains around the Mountains he was born in. His Mother named him Rusty Nail as that is what Killed his Father the day before Rusty was born (while Exploring an Ancient mine Rustys Father fell and a Nail pierced his skull and killed him Instantly).
While Rusty was in his 8th 10th year his Village was Attacked by Strange humans and were Forced into the very Ancient Mines his Father was Tragically killed in, Quickly running out of food and water Rusty was given the Task of Searching for the neccesities of life (food and water), having found a way out through one of the many mine chutes he was only out a matter of minutes when a GREAT explosion shook the earth and knocked him unconscious on coming too he found himself terribly wounded, but worse found a Great hole where his Family Had been, not being able to walk he dragged himself to where the Entrance of the Ancient mines HAD been and found nothing but rubble and the charred remains of the side of a mountain, after digging and making his hands raw to the bone, after a few hours the Humans came back to investigate their Chaos and discovered him and Captured him " we are going to make you our freak show" they said. After a few days of torture and degradation Rusty wished he was Dead, then when he thought he could not go on any Longer a Stranger appeared and intentionally or un-intentionally Freed Rusty and as quickly as he Appeared he Dis-appeared, leaving Rusty to reap his Vengence upon the Humans that Had destroyed His Family and His Tribe, vowing to give his Life to the stranger for helping him get Revenge on the Humans he has found his way to Singador, on the Trail of the stranger he has found out that this stranger Has Joined A tournament for Fame and Glory, Rusty Has Vowed to win the Tournament For this Stranger or Help the Stranger win it AT ALL COST for what the stranger did for him, Rusty Knows only that the Strangers name is Pandogar........... "let the tournament begin" is the only thing thats going round and round in Rustys head......
: I hope this is OK guys I'm not relly looking to go far in the story if you dont want me to, as I'm a n00b at this and lack any skills in story telling, but its a start so may lead me to get my A into G and contribute more to the role playing thingy.
PS: I can change my Race too if Ogres are a stretch to the storyline
and I hope my history is good enough, I left some intersting options in it to get some other stories out of it like, who supplied the "Black Powder" that blew the side of the mountain away etc etc................. ![]()

Approved though. I'm glad to see someone using the less obvious race. <
Sorry about that, but describing what "made" Ka gives a clearer description, and impression, of Ka than simply describing Ka specifically: "Masked slave-monkey-man with serious psychological problems". Not exactly in-depth is it?
And what kind of names do you think the Hominid offshoots should use? Fluffy and Bobo? ![]()
It is an odd habit of mine; if there is a wierd alternative then there is a good chance I'll pick it. Besides, what fun would it be if we were all powerful sorcerors and great knights?
I didnt see a great knight yet ![]()
And can we have team deathmatch and capture the flag? ![]()
I'm not playing Team DM (>_<)
I always get stuck with the selfish tit who picks up ammo for weapons he does not even have, let alone use, leaving me to poke at people with an empty pistol.
^-^
I suggest that the 1vs 1's are the main events but the team deathmach is for anyone that loses? Cuz someday someone has to lose
Ogre is acceptable, but could you stop capitalising words that don't have to be capitalised? ![]()
Fokker, I didn't mean the storyline, I meant the names being all alike. I mean, Ga Ka Rah Ah Bla ![]()
It's fine namewise, just confusing in the end result of your short description. Your character in itself is great. A good alternative to the mages ![]()
As for how the tournament will go, I'm sorry for not saying this earlier.
You will be magically teleported to different places, some alone, some with others. The idea is to return and meanwhile defeat/kill the others. But to defeat others, you may have to work in teams at times, so it's not a "kill right away" kind of thing. Deals can be made. In fact, you can even decide if you want to share your victory. The idea is that in the end, the winner or winners stands before the Order in Singador without any rival remaining.
Sounds a little bit like the introductive movie for UT2003.
