Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

I'm just saying someone might not understand exposition or everyone can:p. Maybe i just think that since i'm not a native english speaker:p.

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

At least three-fifths of us are native English speakers. That leaves Fokker. Judging by the caliber of his writing, I'm sure he understands the concept of exposition, or has the means to discover it.

Thus.

Exposition: a technique of dramatic structure in which undepicted plot elements are conveyed in dialogue, description, flashback or narrative.

For the record, how old is Amanda? Her age plays an important part in the next post I'm writing.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Yes, I have a problem, at least with the execution. tongue

Firstly, General Michael Camore is still Carl's superior in the Blacken command structure, so Carl would not show that amount of disrespect to him. If Carl had concerns, he would voice them privately, not to Camore's face.

Second, if General Camore were really that xenophobic, he would have done something about it long before - perhaps a few months after the assassination attempt. He is a powerful man, let's leave it that that.

Third, if we need a xenophobe, then we can call on Admiral Peter Morna - a character from First Story, a Kallum sympathizer who infiltrated Blacken's command structure. You can read more about him from our most complete primary source <http://atomicinf.homelinux.org/~atomicinf/space%20teh%20story.html>.

I'll work with the idea a bit more, add Morna in there somewhere... basically I'll get back to you

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

really wtf

anyways. I won't really post about the conversation with the other admirals and such because I could give away just too much.

p.s.: I think the Wardancers where a cheap knockoff from my race:p and their entire air of doing things. And I wasn't too fond of my race becomming the lower race. But thats just my usual self talking. RP me is totaly fine with it.

The wardancers are based entirely on the wardancers from my Imperial Conflict: The Shadow War story. In fact they are a carbon copy tongue
And who said anything about _lower_ race?

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Wolves, is this briefing big enough that the other Alliance members will want to send delegates? Or is this just a Blacken thing?

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

The others dont really need to send anybody, but they may send somebody if they see fit too, etc. cy'tan, seeing as they do share the planet.

Then I lived.

I had this like massive post ready, with Jeodan describing the insides of the beast and whatnot, but then i pressen back, accidentaly

Name: Nai, aka "The Be-fallen"
Rank: Inquisitor
Affiliation: Race called Scion, of Extra Galactic Origin

Bio & Introduction:

Nai hails from a far off galactic cluster, that is unpronouncable to terms of current language development. Leading a floatilla of "Inquisitor" class vessels, each nearly one and a half times as large as any of the 3 capital class vessels the UEF employ.

Initial diplomatic receipts from the floatilla request entrance to various neubulae throughout the galaxy to scan for ultra high frequency radiation, reportedly called "Keltran" radiation. The message states it is of their utmost interest to allow for them to access to search and assist in the event there are any

Welcome true believer. I think you may write yourself in as aspiring member of the alliance. As many other races have already done. Wardancers recieved a head up on other people because of unknown reasons, maybe mind manipulation:p.

Or if you only want to reashearch i think the alliance will not want to have

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Quite agreed, the UEF would be rather wary of allowing 67.5 kilometer long starships roaming freely within Alliance territory tongue

For reference (I keep forgetting our primary sources from S:T2S got nixed!), a Colossus class carrier, the largest ship in the UEF arsenal, is 45 kilometers long, about 10 to 11 kilometers wide, and about 5 kilometers tall. It supports at least 20,000 fighter craft and acts as a mobile staging platform for other starships up to 5 kilometers long, capable of servicing one starship up to 5 kilometers long and four starships up to 2 kilometers long at the same time.

But it'll be interesting to see how it plays out smile

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

One of the aspects of the Overseer fleets was that size really didn't make much of a difference to conventional fleets, but only to that of the dark. Thus the Dark were so powerful of an enemy to anything that lived, that the overseers would never meddle in the affairs of races, unless it was to unite them against the dark. And frankly the goings on in the universe would be of secondary interest to Nai. So there were always checks and balances to the overseer race.

For instance, the Worldships the mods used were planet sized.. but not offensive.. Infact.. quite the opposite, and the source of all their power. The worldship Sogil was destroyed, not once, but twice in fact. The primary defenses the overseers would ever fall back on was templar technology.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Welcome Nai, I (Salamandastron) have read the Player Rebellion story, it was very good. One question: Was Talos a spelling mistake for Talus or is it just the name of an area?

Jeodan could be out for any given time so you guys would have already left when he gets back because you would wait too long. Altough you should be accompanied by 3 Cy'Tan 2 do not speak the other does. One would be carrying a mass driver and miscialanious(could mean anything) and the other 2 a sniper and flamethrower

1 is member of the Kamal'Rex squadron other two are Illuminati.
