Slightly on topic, but I'm going to look at what taxes are like after Obama does all his legislation, and if he does what I think he's going to do I will be living in France. With all my moneys. Can't overtax me there

What ever happened to a fair chance?
Republicans messed up when they became more concerned with appearing to play nice with Democrats and adopted Democratic spending habbits (at the cost of their own [formerly] core values). It was already a huge mistake when they started it. Now it's worse with Obama's massive "pass everything we've wanted to for 15 years and call it 'stimumus'" bill. He's doing everything the Republicans did wrong on an even larger scale. Give that a chance? Yeah, good thinking.
Obama's too afraid to reveal his tax intentions yet. Right now he'll pass everything and borrow money from China to pay for it. He'll worry about taxing you more once he passes his socialist spending agenda, before you realize that tax hikes as a way to pay for part of it come next. YES WE CAN get so far in debt our great grandchilren are paying for our "social and economic justice." YES WE CAN claim to be responsible while doing it.
nothing any of you can say can blame OBAMA for the recession, its the whole of america that started the god damn shit and now were feeling it everywhere. nothing to do with obama, even if the republicans did get in it still would be happening and theres bugger all either parties can really do about it.
wars all over the world? how is everyone going to afford it? with the recession noone will be able to pay for the materials and things needed to have a full scale war, noones gunning for oil anymore now that noone can afford it noones buying it and the price is dropping, so the US decides to pull out of iraq. coincidence? oil price skyrockets>us goes to war with iraq>oil price drops>us plans to pull out
i will be glad when china becomes the world superpower and starts to call more of the shots because the US always manages to fk everything up for everyone

No, I'm sure parts of the media will call him bad things, as all politicians get criticised. Just because he is popular now it is unlikely that he will be through the whole of his time in office. I am willing to bet that he won't be called a fascist dictator, because that is ridiculous.
I'm also not quite sure how Flint is managing to blame Obama for a worldwide recession which started before he became president. Even more than this, I can't believe how so many people (including myself) have now actually bothered to reply to a post full of such hyperbole it reverts to utter nonsense.

I blame him because instead of helping our economy the first bill he signed will destroy it. The number of lawsuits will be staggering.

It's just a shiny metal. When things go really bad are you going to eat gold? Or are you going to make bullets with gold?
Gold is ok if things go bad but not really really bad. If it gets really bad nobody will care about a shiny metal anymore, they will trade in food and weapons.

Lets face it republicans, you guys [w00f!] big time. So if your taxes go up for it, its your own god dam fault. And besides, if i was paying attention to the elections correctly, didnt oboma say he was going to raise taxes for businesses in a high tax bracket who can afford to pay more, and lower them for everyone else, while still keeping the same ammount of taxes coming in? its like some people have thier hands over thier ears going "na nana nanananana not lisTENING!" during the debates...
Oboma has come in at a pretty hard time...if he pulls it off he will be prob one of the better presidents you guys have had, if he doesnt and the debt stays where it is..hes still better than most since he is keeping it even

The Republicans were using "Joe the dumbass" to say that everyone's taxes will go up.
So its only fair that everyone's taxes go up.
Latest I heard on the news was that Obama was lowering taxes for "po folks" like me and raising them for rich people like Bill Gates/ Donald Trump/ Ted Turner. I really don't see that as a bad thing.

Shiny metal is important because if an end-of-the-world-scenario does happen - food and weapons will be even more important. Who in their right mind is going to give guns for food? No one. Whoever is in control will also want to horde the wealth while still keeping the price of food to a minimum.
Enter the gold. It can be hoarded, it can be stored, it CANNOT be produced by just anyone, and there is a limited supply. Its the perfect choice for both international and regional currency after an end-of-the-world scenario.

Yes your little brain cannot fathom the advanced math, thus why you will always be poor. When you understand this math, you will get rich.
Well lets put it this way.
Lets suppose that my company anually yields $5 million in revenue every month, after subtracting operation costs and wages.
Now lets also suppose that my total taxes are 50%.
That leaves me with $2.5 million in revenue.
I could be a jerk and spend all that $2.5 million, but the reality is that I'll probably spend less than that (lets say $500,000).
I am therefore left with $2.5 million to invest in my company or in another.
What will the government do with the rest of that $2.5 million? They will spend it inefficiently is what they'll do!
If am instead taxed less, then I have more money to invest in my company. This allows me to expand more and therefore offer new jobs.
Anyway, am I getting this right?

Even under Reagan the government did not shrink. It only grows.
It will eventually consume us all unless we force it to shrink.
This means they need to not balance the budget, they need to balance THEN SHRINK the budget while paying off our debt.
