Re: For those who doubt the US military

Nobody doubts that the US is the supreme military power on earth. Hell, it accounts for 50% of the world's military spending, and that's with just 5% of our GDP.

We are saying that our interventionist policies have been motivated by ideology or short-sightedness rather than strategy or pragmatism..

You laugh, but when the guy with a penis enlargement gets married to some rich duchess, that laugh will quickly go away.

The laugh will return when the guy realizes the duchess is a shemale.

The title of your thread does not match the content of the first post.

I was expecting some information about the men and women who make up the military. Instead you have provided links about some stuff that inventors and scientists have been working on. Perhaps the companies that they work for have contracts with the military, but for me at least you are still OT.

Not rich enough to pay for the penis enlargement.

  What he said, plus:
You are aware that your wonderful military tech is drastically inferior to the things certain other countries have, yes? Like, for example, look at your civillian exosuit copmpared to the Japanese civillian exosuit. Now imagine what their military suit would do to yours.
And theirs would be "cloaked", yours would merely be "stealthed".

  What? You honestly think the Japanese "defense force" does not do r&d?

"So, it's defeat for you, is it? Someday I must meet a similar fate..."

Re: For those who doubt the US military

The entire analogy was absurd from the first reply.

Primo is stating that the U.S. simply doesn't need to focus all this money on unnecessary technology.They are indebt as-is, and are only adding to that.

I found it funny that Flint will really stick to his guns and argue hard against the majority of public opinion and evidence and the threads last a long time. Yet this one dies out pretty quickly as he is finally lost for words. Im going to assume that anyway.

Re: For those who doubt the US military

with all the money put into military, i wonder why the education system in the stayes is second class, and the health care is like 27th overall, 1 below el salvator...

detroit has a higher infant mortality rate than all of the african countries except for three..yes you heard right.. COUNTRIES...more babies die in that city...

so why are you so proud of your military?

Aquaman: Because how many crimes ACTUALLY occur under the sea...

Re: For those who doubt the US military

the us and china have the best military right now, us has the best trained, where china has the largest. I heard somewhere austrailia has the best navy, but i cant be sure.  Either way, a military is only as good as what its being used for...

and since most of the US military is out of country right now, what would happen if china showed up on your shores? lol..just kiddnig..lol

Aquaman: Because how many crimes ACTUALLY occur under the sea...

Re: For those who doubt the US military

Best trained? Where do you get this information from?

Best equipment (after some nasty lessons were learnt about how canvas is not a very good idea for armour on humvees!) , but not best trained.

Australia has a fine navy, some new ships and fine personnel, but it is not a large Navy; no CV. The USN is as big as the next 7 Navy's combined. I think it may actually be the next 17 navys, but that sounds just way to redicoulous, so Im going to say 7. I will try to substantiate this if we get any doubters.

Re: For those who doubt the US military

@twistedpuppet
Its routine for certain people to post certain things about a certain organization in this forum. Happens every so often. Always has.

@Econamatrix
How can you measure how well trained an army is? There could really be two categories: Military forces who aren't trained, and those who are. Maybe you could have levels of training, but this would only really cover those in lesser (i.e. b0rked) countries. Comparing the United States and Australian navies in 'training' is just absurd.

Re: For those who doubt the US military

I wasn't the one who raised the question of who has the best training, but I will discuss it. Perhaps some of the international competitions I linked to earlier would be a good way to provide an idea about the skill/training.

I never compared the training of the navies.

Nonetheless one Navy could be trained better than another. There are obviously a wide range of things that sailors/navy personnel would need training in - some countries would be better than others at the various aspects of their training.
