Topic: Who for president on politics forum?

What politics forum regulars would you prefer the most as the US president, assuming you have America's best interests at heart?

Nominations!

Zarf gets my vote

I might like Acolyte too.

I know you're more narcissistic than I am, but I want a name of someone other than you!

no one else here shares anything resembling my views... and most people here are morons....

I promise sun during the weekend.

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

For the US president? I vouch for BW. Simply because his delusions would lead the US to economic collapse... But then again, I don't have America's best interest at heart tongue

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

I vote for JA.
I might not agree with some (most) of his views but he does have his head screwed on, he doesn't take the party over the politics, and I think he would do what's right for his country even if he personally hated what needed to be done.

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

I nominate The Yell.

He has the best sense of humour here. I don't like serious people.

If someone here was running for president I would vote for IA probably.

Due to my radical anarcho-capitalist beliefs, my first act in office would be to obliterate the office. wink

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

I back Yell. He's got common sense (number one priority!), he never feels the need to resort to being babyish or nasty and rises above such behaviour, he's intelligent and always seems to understand what he's talking about, and he manages to stay sharp and humourous when everyone else is getting deadly serious and losing their heads.

I do like Justinian's attitude, wit and smarts, but I don't agree with his ideas and morals (or non-morals!) etc. so I wouldn't be voting for him.

I also might vote Einstein just to watch the nation slowly implode big_smile

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

Current vote:

Acolyte: 1
JA: 1
TheYell: 2
Zarf BeebleBrix: 1

Current votes by people who don't meet the qualifications
BW: 1

(BTW, maybe someone in the running shouldn't be counting the votes.  That's just asking for a Bush v. Gore) big_smile

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

I nominate Decimus. No justification needed

Yes, you're special. Just like everyone else.

But the office desk is such a nice desk!  Wouldn't you want to remove the desk first, before obliterating the room?  big_smile

I'm going to challenge this vote.  If nominating Decimus has the "best interests of America" at hand, the definitiion of a "good leader" is "instituting a mandatory suicide law, with punishment of the death penalty for those who don't comply."

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

so what exactly is bad about that?

Yes, you're special. Just like everyone else.

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

Why has no one voted Fokker? He's a nice fellow. I would vote for him but I've already voted my first choice

Oh I see. I have a dark side appeal for Loz. She admits I'm brilliant, and implicitly that I would be able to effectively continue America's hegemony in the world. She says she doesn't want a Machiavellian to rule the US, but in the deepest parts of her soul she has an attraction for evil and power.

Don't be afraid. Heed your calling. Come to the dark side of the force!

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

i dont know much about Acolyte's intelligence, but you cant go wrong with obliterating the office, so if i cant vote for myself, i guess i would vote for him.

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

I guess its time for to offer Acolyte the VP slot

I'll take Flint because he wants to be a politician and he'd give me and BW a free hand while taking the heat

Re: Who for president on politics forum?

Heh I am the only true politician on the forum, and people say I would implode the nation? Pffft

Yes Mr. President.

We have some documents for you to sign...
