Yeah anywhere else and there'd be no witnesses and at least 1 dead body.

I notice the article made no mention of, or effort to find out, what happened before the fight.  Not saying 3 on 1 is appropriate but there may have been a good reason cop #1 was beating the guy while cops #2 and 3 just joined in because they were drunk and saw a friend in a fight.  I must agree with Deci this is not normal behaviour for police so saying it's "as usual" is kind of harsh.

hmmm, so one guy was assaulting a police officer. two more police officers came to protect him; the "victim" then called out for people to violently rebel against the government and the police tried to stop him....and the problem is?

The first guy probably picked a fight with or tried to mug the first cop, not realising he was a cop who would destroy him. The other 2 saw one of thier own and jumped in. Simple. The best way? No. The one still on active duty was probably the first one in the fight, and was likely just defending himself. The others are punished in an appropriate fashion. The guy they "beat" didn't even need to go to the hospital for anything. Obviously they didn't hurt him that badly if he could shake it off and go home.

I agree.
Obviously the guy started the fight because cops never beat someone unless they deserve it.
Anytime you see cops beating someone its because they deserve it.

The same applies to me and my 2 friends. If someone deserves a beating we'll make sure they get it.
