Re: Elimination: Religious Groups (& Atheism)

its really simple. either whatever agnostics believe is a fact, that people of all religions believe and thus religious people are agnostics and agnostics are religious, or what agnostics believe isnt a fact, but a belief and agnostics have their own religion.

Re: Elimination: Religious Groups (& Atheism)

"There's no use to define non-religious as a state that no human being can reach even theoretically"

thats because non-religious is an adjective you [tree]ing moron; its an adjective comparing people of all faiths, and someone can be non-religious while having a religion just like someone can be small without being non-existent. i cant believe you still dont understand what an adjective is.

Re: Elimination: Religious Groups (& Atheism)

avo: What agnostics believe is O.N.L.Y. true for THEM! Not for everyone else. So its a fact but the fact is for another person not "I dont know" but "Person A does not know". Seriously...

A non-religious person would need to be agnostic + hold no other beliefs which arent based on the basic assumptions (which is were you draw the line between science and religion).

Yes, you're special. Just like everyone else.

Re: Elimination: Religious Groups (& Atheism)

non-religious is not a comparing adjective but an adjective that describes that the person you use that adjective on has a special set of characteristics. Now we would need to define what set of characteristics that is. And thats exactly what I am trying.

Yes, you're special. Just like everyone else.

"non-religious is not a comparing adjective but an adjective that describes that the person you use that adjective on has a special set of characteristics."

well, i was using it as a "comparing adjective"

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)

Re: Elimination: Religious Groups (& Atheism)

"then please repeat what your actual point is tongue

the original point was that of the 3 most common religions; christianity, islam, and non-religious(athiest, agnostic, and people claiming to be part of no religion) Christianity was the only one split, so there was a bias against christianity in this thread from the start.

Re: Elimination: Religious Groups (& Atheism)

So why exactly are the people who voted against Atheism and Satanism voting for Buddism, which has much in common with both?
Not only do they share a lack of belief in a God they also look inward, to themselves, for the solutions to lifes problems, rather than outwards, to a God.
Or is such a lifestyle unoffensive to your sensebilities only when it's wearing an orange bedsheet and pretending it's happy all of the time? tongue

Re: Elimination: Religious Groups (& Atheism)

Most people have no clue about how they're voting, Fokker.
I thought that was pretty obvious from the start tongue

They only started voting against Satanism after the discussion about it (remarkable, no?)

I'll never know if it was worth the pain, but I still loved it more than anything in the world - it was my life.
