Re: Obama's Inauguration
If he had been shot by a sniper after the oath that would have been so... well I would like it except Biden is crazy.
The shortest presidental term ever.

He lacked passion for his whole speech. This one that he was "Studying speeches of past presidents and for days was preparing the most important speech of his lifetime". He did not hold to his hype, lol
Now for an analysis of his speech.
~That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.~
Hard Choices? Like getting off the gravy train, quitting the super unsupportable growth of government like in California and New York and of the out of control unions?
The evidence the way we use energy supports... Why do we not drill here, drill now and quit supporting those nations then?
~These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land
the Speech was all over the place.
The amazing thing is..... He is trying to be LIKE everyone.
Be OBAMA.... thats the problem w/Leftists...... they want to be IMMEDIATELY accepted and loved. Please....just LEAD.
Already, they are taking public opinion polls.
The only thing I heard yesterday was how horrible things were, and how much better they will be now......... Im still waiting to hear SPECIFICALLY what these "Things" are !!!!
Imagine, today OBAMA has to start actually making decisions about things.......

and thx for the report BW, no time to reply atm though
From the little I read of your post Einstein showed me that you're just comparing the two ways of doing things,
republican and liberal.
He's a liberal. Expect a liberal agenda(actually a more central administration though) and liberal speeches.
Shall I go down the list of his administration? They are adamantly left with 2 exceptions
Apparently fox news is still scared shitless of their commander in chief, the guy they said everyone should blindly trust.
"the guy they said everyone should blindly trust."
source?
I had source on fox news site a while back waiting to post this but its so spammed up with obama i cant find it
http://search2.foxnews.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&client=my_frontend&proxystylesheet=my_frontend&output=xml_no_dtd&site=story&getfields=*&filter=0&sort=date%3AD%3AS%3Ad1&entsp=0&q=commander+in+chief+trust
source on not trusting
oh and i meant trust the commander in chief not obama
LOL yeah, did you hear them scream when people flamed Bush about entering Iraq, they were blabbing on about how it's unamerican to say anything bad about the president, and even point a finger at him...
Funny how things change so fast.. ![]()
I agree that the media coverage of Obama's inauguration was a bit extreme, a little too hyped, and certain networks (coughmsnbccough) were just outright crazy. However, regardless of what you think of the man and his political convictions, he /was/ just elected to one of the most powerful offices in the world. I don't think it truly matters that Obama, specifically, was elected, an inauguration is no small event*. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the office couldn't be small enough.
At any rate, if it were up to me, there most likely wouldn't be a head of state, much less a state at all.
* On the other hand, his turnout was much more impressive than for the last President.
P.S. I predicted an Obama/anyone-but-Biden ticket would win the election months ago (as soon as McCain was chosen for the Republicans, naturally); unfortunately I don't remember if I recorded it in this forum. Still, if anyone remembers me saying something to this effect: I told you so.
