Israel is too powerful to be "wiped off the map" by anyone other than the United States itself.

as for the shells that hit the UN headquarters what do you expect Israel to do to someone who is aiding the enemy.  besides, Israel was attacked from that location naturally they are going to return fire.

Isreal has proven it can handle itself militarily.  the Egyptians, the syrians, the lebanese, and iraqi's  couldnt handle the israelis.  so there is no question that there is no willing nation that can "destroy" Israel.  As far as restructuring Israel's government the same roadblock comes up.  who the hell would do it.

If you mean the 6 day war, didn't Egypt have Israel handled until Syria desperately convinced them to move out of their anti-air covered zones? Thus allowing Israels aircraft to rip them apart...But anyway,

There probably will be, but I doubt there would be one to charge Hamas with the same thing.  I'm not saying Israel has the moral high ground over Hamas, both have done pretty awful things.  Hamas should equally be charged with war crimes for it has indiscriminately targetted civilians and hidden behind their own when Israel comes to retaliate.  Hamas should be charged with putting civilians in mortal danger, or something to that effect.

I'm sure, if HAMAS isnt lobbing missiles into Israel, Israel is not invading GAZA.

AMAZING.  Suicide bombers enter Israel almost on a weekly basis from GAZA.
Israel builds a wall, and stops the border crossing by terrorists...... Israel is blamed for building a wall.

HAMAS, a terror org, that is supported by the UN, the EU, and the Red Crescent, plus weapons funded by all the ISRAEL hating states...
They lob missiles into Israel....INDISCRIMINATLY....for YEARS !!!  not months....YEARS.

Israel invades to wipe out the missile sites, and take out as many weapons storage facilities as possible....... Its Israel's fault for invading.

A cease fire is brokered, with EGYPT saying they will do their best to block weapons shipments from entering Gaza...
Israel starts moving out reserves and regulars from GAZA.
HAMAS thumbs its nose at the cease fire,  Uses a UN building to fire more missiles at Israel, Israel takes counter fires at the missile launch site, ..... 
..... Its Israels fault that the missile site was a UN building......

Yes generally when things go wrong in war we blame the guy with the biggest gun.  If someone hits you with a sling shot it's difficult to justify blowing their head off with a shotgun.

Perhaps, it was more to establish a sense of proportion.  Terrible though the loss of human life is (not to me personally but in a general sense) Hamas isn't able, as far as I know, to inflict any appreciable damage.  Israel sending an army in seems to most people wildly out of proportion.  I'm not saying Israel was wrong to send in forces, but when Israel's response results in significantly more damage to property and lives lost people are going to look to them as the bad guy.
