Re: 1576 & 1595 vs. 1577 & 1563
Lipton - I didn't say it HAD to be farming, I said it *promoted* farming - and it does ![]()
2 fewer fams to hit - statistically significant.
2 fewer fams to worry about? VERY significant.
Lets be honest here, for instance. 1581 doubled 6th ranked family in NW about a week ago. So lets say that is the case again in another week - hypothetically of course.
Will I cancel NAP and try to war the 10th and 11th ranked families, knowing that #4 and #6 could hit me right after while I have no saves because I was foolish enough to think I could avoid them or that they wouldn't seize the opportunity?
If I'm smart I won't - because that's exactly what top fams do. Wait until you've committed yourself to the wrong decision and take you down.
Now, with that in mind, that means that suddenly, with that PNAP in place - i'm no longer wary of hitting guys who are 11-20 (who I triple or quadruple) - and that's pretty dang close to farming
And I won't have as much fear of hitting one of those 30 something families who occasionally fight back with nukes, pop ops, and hell really hard, because again, there are only 2 alliances that can beat me - one is PNAPed and one is perhaps in a war?
PNAPs between 4 members of top 8 isn't a direct lead to farming. But I can guarantee it heavily promotes it in the thought patterns of what you do through the course of a round.
Just like tri alliances promoted more farming (when only 2 of them were good per round) than the new system. Because you only had one group to worry about, you avoided anyone that could slow you down.
I don't care - do what you want, just know the cost of what you do. And know both sides of the coin - because with your outspokenness, you can't have them both.
