no, im saying why the hell do you think it takes incredible intelligence to get into Harvard. grade in highschool and college are a reflection of motivation more then anything else.

i never applied to Harvard, the college didnt appeal to me; someone in my class that was not of impressive intelligence or maturity or creativity did get into harvard and did get some type of scholarship. you do not need to be beyond amazing. its not like they give IQ tests to applicants and anyone scoring 160 or higher gets a scholarship. I bet Obama wrote a pretty good essay; which might of been the sole reason for the scholarship.

Now take the requirements for undergrad(i just took a look at them btw) and double it, not to mention EC's prior to uni, and i'm betting the acceptance  for harvard is somewhere around 13% from all applicants considering the prestige of the university.

a why not? what do they have to weed "average" guys out? i know someone who got into Harvard and got a scholarship and she wasnt much above average.

They have to weed out average guys because average guys can not survive the rigurous program...

BTW, Avo I'm not too familiar with all of Harvard's prgorams, but remember every Uni has a couple of programs that they are not great at, and i'm sure harvard has a couple of those too

They are famously known for their Law and Business programs though...
