Topic: More research

I believe the global warming topic needs more research projects. I know a lot of people firmly for or against it but frankly hardly ever come up with any good evidence. Fact is there is little. Or at least that is my opinion. Anyway whether for or against it, I think we need some decent research about the matter. More research would make it harder for both sides to bias the facts and quit making important decisions about the subject without any decent understanding of the matter.

Often it looks like both sides are afraid of decent research. Can't help it but when I even use the word they often reply: "can't you see its obvious we don't need research". As irony has it I hear it from both sides while I admit I frankly don't know whether its true or not. I had some green guy talking about cities looking like ants-and ants are destined to die out (wtf big_smile ?) -but to their defense their opponents don't make much sense either.

Re: More research

The problem is that there's lots of studies on the issue.  They're just divided, so there's no final conclusion.

That's why I try to stay the hell away from global warming debates whenever possible (unless I just decide to play devil's advocate to piss someone off).

Re: More research

the important thing is whether the silent majority is well informed.

I'll try to feel pissed then.

if more research is done and it points at A, its not going to stand out from prior proof of A and its not going to discredit B to the masses anymore then the prior proof of A does. the silent majority will believe which one they want to believe.

Re: More research

tell me then what good info you got on it now. It will sure help me make a decision if I knew more about it. I'm not the only person in the world who thinks that way.

Go ahead and research. I invite you. When you are done, you to will know the Earth is at the mercy of the Sun, and not at the mercy of man, and that nothing we do can change more than .001% of our own environment.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
