Do I even have to name all the players here? Well, frankly, we got 5-ish well known players. Other than that is players laying low or not that infamous anyway. The reason why we're doing so well? It's very simple: Activity! We're just active, all of us, and we get along well with one strong leader pulling everyone together. Organisation, planning, etc... WHo the hell needs that? We all know what to do, so just playing for fun, that's what we do. Grab, build, explore, grab, raid, build, and kill everyone on sight. That's the way it goes! Tada, we won, u can go home now.

Seriously though... We are *one of the three fams* to beat. I've never seen a fam with 5 active attackers grabbing like their lives depended on it... in one single fam during one single round. I'm flabbergasted! Good thing I'll go inactive anyway, so that should even things out, right?

I love winME, truly. He's clever, thinks about what he's doing, and he actually plans everything in detail. Not too much detail, but that's what TMK's there for I guess... If he's still active enough to make a difference. I can see pure resourcer races, haven't seen those around too much before... Again winME, of course. And then I'd dare to forget PP, el bastardo according to a lot of people. Frankly, he's great these days. Nice guy to talk to, keeps the fam together and works hard to keep things rolling. And it proves to work, as these guys are one of the three fams to beat as well.

People say their attacking power has weakened as compared with last round... Well, I wasn't here, and I know Pitbull is attacking. He used to get pushed into the pax role too often to be fair, cuz he's one hell of an attacker and easily leads the pack if that's what he's supposed to do. Never gives up and will go up or down as long as he can pimp your world >-/

For now, these guys are playing according to the little booklet guide that goes with "ruling IC in 10 steps". Good spread, good alliance-wide coverage, good eco, good planet gains. I wonder if winME pull one of those old interesting strats from under the dusty carpet... Cuz he better realize his co-deviz0r is on the other side this round Good thing Iamsmart is always up for some interesting (and hilarious) commenting on different people's idiocies in the forums

Oooh... Number 3 of the big evil 3! Well, I'm not that familiar with who is in here, in fact I'm not familiar with anyone being anywhere this round... Geez I've been gone too long, to be honest. I'll just rely on what i've experienced from these people: They got damned good spread. Perhaps that's more because of good diplomacy then anything else, but still, doesn't matter how u play it, as long as it plays out well. I see them popping up everywhere. Whenever I hit a fam, mostly they retake something I lose. Annoying! So apparently, they got the attacking sorted. That's obvious. However, how are they gonna fare in a war? Especially a cancellation war? Remains to be seen... But will be interesting nonetheless.

Also they're slow taking compensation planets >:/ Lazy bastards! Do keep up with them Big Three guys, cuz u seem to be slowing down quite a bit in P count and nw...

Apparently the first fam to have skirmished pretty badly with 1581 this round. Their ally joined in, or was it the other way around? Either way, their ally's almost dead by now, so it doesn't matter. Or should I say ex-ally? Rumour goes they already got some new ones anyway. Out with the old, in with the new!

I'm not infra whore, nor do I care about it, so I'll just talk about the attacking: Pretty damn good. They got an interesting spread in a sector which they practically own. Prety hard to get into Sector 1 without getting noticed by them. Smartass Restless especially deserves some recognition for the early attacking work he's done and he gained my respect...  keep it up guys, cuz you're the alliance to watch after the Big Three duke it out and implode.

Erm, I think they are my allies. Impire told me not to attack them. So I don't attack them. Well... mostly. Almost kicked them out of a core system after being a bit too eager to get things cleared like Ilu's butt after a good candle's hair scorching. Either way, I dunno anything bout infra, and I haven't been fighting them, but it seems Protgas is doing a marvelous job keeping the bunch active and rolling. They'll have to keep up in order for the Big Three to duke it out, cuz all three top alliances have 1 big fam, and 1 not so big, but still pretty big fam. Buttgas, do ask me whenever ya need something! I love my cuddly cute allies!

I heard, somehow, that these guys are replacing 1583's old ally. Well, if it's true, it might just make the Big Four, instead of the Big Three. if it's not true, just fine as well, this fam is doing well nonetheless. Honestly though, I haven't encountered them on the galactic map either, so can't say much about them. ZaiZuney banking always means good infra and he has a way of making things work like clockwork. There are a couple other well-recognized names, at least by other people, not so much by me. I haven't played too actively recently, so I guess that's my fault Hiya Prozac! I do remember you! Well, nice fam, one of my personal favourites to just do well.

81's ally and the heavy burden of being the supporting ally of one of the Big Three. Well... Supporting is a dangerous thing to say, cuz they've given me a run for my money already. They're die-hard retakers and keep me busy all the time keeping them at bay down there in Sector 3. No way you're entering the region near the sector 4 border biznatches! I vaguely remember a couple of names in that fam, but I'm not too sure. Is that Anubis? Hmm, well, he's a wildcard, which could be good or bad, just like many people have a similar opinion bout BIG GARY in my own fam (and btw he's doing just fine and is playing team-aspect pretty damn well!). Gonna be interesting.

The question will be how they end the explo phase. They will need more spread to really make a difference. For now, having a core and being in your ally's core is not gonna cut it. I'll be interested to watch them; at least I know they won't be easily crushed if the time comes - at all.

The last fam in the line of the Big Three. They almost have a joint core with 1563, with a small lane in between them available to 95/76. This must definitely give them quite a few possibilities. However, as far as spread is concerned, I see them popping up just about everywhere... near their core. Not gonna cut it. Their ally is everywhere, they are not. Do I sense them lacking a bit in alliance-wide cooperation? The attacking crew isn't the best there is, I heard, and the planet count confirms this. I hate to say it, but for now... The weakest link in the Big Three.

Seriously, these guys are IN my sector, the great lovely environment of Sector 4, and I haven't encountered them in a single system? At all? Well, I'm sorry, I just lied, I did encounter them: I just checked the map to see where the hell they were. Sorry, but being in the same sector as an aggressive fam such as mine, and not having been encountered a single time, nor exchanged attacks... poor attacking is what I call that. Good luck though, perhaps some things will indeed change.

Ah.... I was actually looking forward to writing about 1570. Now, where shall we start... Ok, well they've made a half-hearted attempt at aggressive expansion and trying to maintain a pretty big core. A big core is always a challenge, and only a select few can do it (doomer, myself, zidi, winME, pitbull and couple others will know what I'm talking about). Artic, however, can't do it. And that's putting it.. well, let's just say I forced myself to use a strong euphemism here. Point is, at one... point the past week, I believe my fam took two ports of Artic's, just because we liked to take ports from Artic (I admit...) and because they were just too far out from his Home system for his own good. Two seconds later, we get beggings, flowers, more beggings, and more flowers from dear dear Artic, basically dropping on his knees to NAP, just because we are so much bigger and he doesn't want us in his core. This message beautifully illustrates his requests:

What? Say again? He didn't want us in his core. The portals we took were like 30 ticks out from his home system! Of course, we don't agree to anything and continue on our jolly good round, and maybe took a few more, and then we have Artic coming to chat, offering 20 planets (later 50 planets) for a PNAP. We don't accept, being the aggressive fam we are, and he ends up offering 20 planets/year for the whole round for a PNAP. Let's rephrase. He offered to give us, 1576, 20 planets every single IC year for the whole round. How pathetic can you be?

My Prognosis: Dead by the end of explo phase. Goodbye!

The Pwetty Pwincesses have become a synonym for inactivenessish by now. Admittedly, they've done a remarkably good job at keeping their core clear and they're not afraid of hitting a couple top fams to do that. They're also crawling up the ranks slowly, so I do think these guys are gonna make it into top 10 some time in the future... Just as long as they keep up some activity. And as much as I love Primo (I even granted him the pleasure of being on #pub's akick list... as an IRC operator! ), I do hope they'll do well. Always nice to have a couple princesses chasing u in their short skirts and too revealing clothing!

Low level of organisation, semi-active retaking of lost planets, and squeezed in between a couple big fams. The future is everything but bright for these guys. I wish you all the luck you need to crawl up the ranks and prove me wrong though... Anyone trying to convince people that school is fun, must be a noble individual!
