we're not peaceful! we're just nice guys that dunt want to create trouble for the not so nice guys....but i beleive, based on previous information, that the nice guy routine makes people go crazy after a while...so I predict we'll snap and pillage everything around us in order to destroy this peaceful image and recapture the hearts of many, including cloud

Is it me or does the intelligence in this game or maybe just this galaxy, but it seems to be seriously lacking?

I mean don't get me wrong, i wouldn't expect everyone to be the best at this game or anything of the such, however things that deserve common sense usually is massively hard for a ton of pw players to grasp ... why on earth is this?

I mean honestly it bothers me ... i mean god 80% of the things that happen in this game is based on logic, not complex and complicated logic, just simple logic (e.g. the top fam explores near you, you clear them because obviously they'll rape you) yet people still cannot get the basic concept of this game.

Is it the age factor? Do alot of people just have low IQ points? Or am i the only person that sees this? I mean it happens round after round after round, the worst part is 60-70% of players still never learn anything ... round after round after round. How on earth is this possible? The game doesn't change ... at all. Well this round we have some unit changes and science changes, but overall in the last what 10 years the game has been the same.

If people can't understand and conquer such a easy and simple game, i feel sorry for what you can accomplish in real life.

Eh, I agree. I really do try to teach what little I know. But it seems rare anyone retains it. Ya, they are ok for the round I talk to em and teach, but next round back to the same noob stuff for them. It doesnt sink in. For several rounds, I have posted in fam forums my versions of atker 101 and atker 102. Yet, I see few to none using the tips I gave. I also posted my tips for bankers, based on an atker's view. Again few to none use em. I saw a coupla really good posts in the Strat forum about  alla this, yet, did anyone else read? Does anyone else use?

Cloud, it isnt just this galaxy. It is everywhere. I have played Tri, MW, Capri, SD and Drago. Now, PW. I see the same everywhere. And it aint just common sense, or logic that is at fault. It is the failure to look listen and learn. You can be a complete idiot, without commonsense or logic, but if you look at what others do, listen to what they say, and learn to emulate them, you do way better.

I used to have that as a tag, at the bottom of my msgs (look, listen, learn, Hummy does) but who the hell read it? Who listened to it? NO ONE.

Last round (PW) was a good example. A good sized top fam with good
pc and NW, and NO defenses? Gawd, did they ever get screwed. And most were exp players who shoulda known better.

I say, over and over, stn lase and port. But who listens?

Some folks never seem to get the basics.

I blame the Tutors in Virgo and the Mentors wherever they may be, if they took the time to explain stuff to them properly we wouldn't have the cases of n00bism that we often see i.e. a severe lack of lasers on a 100 planet banker and him getting raped.

If only everyone had 2 TFTs with IC open on one of them and the FAQ open on the other we would all be fine somethings have been lost though such as "The Perfect Soldier / Droid / Droid pt 2" if players in some of my families had taken the time to find and read that then they wouldn't have had their newly explored planets taken off them at SOR, it isn't a hard concept that at SOR stationing 1 fighter on a newly explored planet is cheaper than a laser.

Sometimes you just have to accept that either the age / intelligence / standard of players in this game is going to remain stagnant or fall, that's how it happens until one day, only complete idiots will be playing as the competition will be minimal and you go off and find other games to amuse you i.e. bushtarion (more complex with the numbers of troops etc and BOR plans differ widely) or a new game ultimate-warfare (a bit like WW2 and Risk all in one)

And yeah u have the odd rounds which suck but then u have those rounds that wanna make u keep playing coz ur having heaps of fun
