The naughty elves looked on as Eltara made his last gasp attempt to save Nolio. No way could they let him try to fool their plans again.
Following the lynch, Eltara had the night off. He had worked the previous 4 nights and was at least awarded with a night's rest by Santa himself. He had planned to join his friends for a little spot of carol singing later in the evening, but first he had to dress for the occasion.
Eltara entered his cabin alone and immediately shivered slightly. It had gotten cold the past few days. He walked over towards his log fire and lit it, causing the whole room to light up with the red and amber colours of the flames. He warmed his hands by the fire and then strolled towards his wardrobe to decide what to wear.
He took off his fluffly green work clothes and stepped into an almost identical pair of green "going out" dungarees. He took a red ribbon from a drawer in his wardrobe and stepped towards the mirror to tie the bow neatly around his neck. He didn't notice that his white bow was missing.
The reflection which stared back at him was certainly a sight to behold. He winked at it as he dusted his dungarees down and stepped closer to inspect his ribbon. As he wrapped the bow ends around each other to make the loop of the bow, he jumped when a white ribbon suddenly flew over the top of his head and pulled tightly against his neck. He was pulled backwards violently as the ribbon tugged against his throat. Eltara attempted to scream but only a muffled choke came out. His attacker was definitely stronger than he was as he was unable to effectively struggle against the person trying to kill him.
Eltara managed to kick out just when the last gasp of oxygen had vacated his lungs and when he did, he caught a glimpse of his attacker behind him in the reflection in the mirror. But everything went dark when he lost consciousness.
The naughty elf released the ribbon when he was sure Eltara was dead. He smiled at himself in the mirror and then began to leave, walking past a photograph hanging on the wall of Eltara sitting happily on Santa's knee, just like the good nice elf he was.

The Scrooge was in a good mood this evening. Thus far his murders weren't going exactly to plan, but hey, dead is dead! And his target tonight wasn't going to be much more difficult. Moving around on his own, without backup... what a fool.
He started to close in on the target as they were walking past the gelatine fountain. The Scrooge looked around carefully, no one near to interfere with his work again. As he closed in on his target the person turned around. It didn't bother the Scrooge though, too late for warning sounds. But just as the Scrooge wanted to push, his target sidestepped him, so the Scrooge flew past and only just managed to regain his balance and avoid the fountain he was going to drown his target in.
"Well, should have seen this coming. This isn't my year. I do have a better way though" said the Scrooge and he calmly walked over to his attacker, switching his knife between his hands. However, when he tried to stab his target his target easely dodged him again!
"Don't bother, you're not close to being good enough to take me out. I'll let you walk, but only becouse you might prove me some help in the coming nights." And with those words, the Grinch walked away.
