Topic: The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, etc

I am NOT trolling here, but is it just me or has these shows, The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy , and similar cartoons for big boys have become so bad as to be unwatchable?

It has been years since I actually got any laugh out of The Simpsons, South Park has become so try hard political that it is just no longer funny (tonight they played the most recent Easter episode and the into of Stan questioning Easter was so bad I cringed), and there is so little likable about Family Guy lately that I just don't even bother to watch it.

I'm sure most of you would disagree with me, but the writing of some newer episodes of all of these shows are so bad that they should never have been put on TV

Family Guy is probably the least offensive, since it started from such a low base, but The "In This House, We Obey the Laws of Thermodynamics!" Simpsons and South Park just got lazy and stopped trying to be witty.

I haven't seen South Park in about three years, but I've never thought Family Guy was funny enough to watch regularly and Simpsons went south for me when Phil Hartman was killed

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

The Simpsons were never funny, from all the episodes i've watched i think i only laughed about 5-10 times tongue

South Park, i've never really watched it much

Family guy - i find preety funny, it's still funny, maybe more tongue

American dad- SUCKS big_smile ..to put it nicely big_smile ...

South Park is horrible. The Simpsons have ran out of ideas.

Family Guy on the other hand stays good, and so does American Dad.

But I still like all the above mentioned cartoons as well.

The writers of American Dad actually admitted once that they made that series solely to use jokes they had thought of for Family Guy, but couldn't use when it was cancelled.  Or, at least, I remember seeing some documentary about it or something.  I'm probably wrong.
But still, Family Guy is at least random enough that there will be a few good jokes in one episode, even if the main story isn't too good.  Simpsons is just too predictable, as they've done every single plot.  Ever.  Nothing can be said that wasn't on the Simpsons at one point.
Never really liked South Park, except for the movie, but that's just me.

You didn't read Neo Variety Hour, so they killed me.  But even death can not stop my awful, awful posts.

New season is South Park is good so far big_smile

Last Episode with B spears was very hard but also very truthfull.

Boondocks is ok but the writers really have a lot of anger at blacks.

funny cartoons that are still good : Metalacolypse (i have no idea how to spell it), Futurama, and Sealab even though theres no new episodes.

all the cartoons are funny. I suppose it depends on how uptight you are sometimes cause ppl say south park is not funny at all while in reality, you're focusing too much on what's going on and taking it too seriously. Family guy, etc.

Anyways, I don't watch any of them religiously and never will because that's how you end up getting bored. The britney spears episode that came on the other day was hilarious though big_smile

South Park: Its majorly funny, but here we're delayed a season or 2 so dunno if it dropped harsh on the last two seasons...

Simpsons indeed gone bad. Southpark makes a funny episode by accident, but family guy is still pretty good big_smile

Simpsons is okay, it has run out of ideas...which is probably why they're going to start making Futurama again.

South Park was never too funny in my opinion, but that's obv just me.

Family guy is the funniest of the three but only because of Stewie and Brian, without those characters it would fall flat on it's face.
