Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

These kind of things are cool and great but we need a couple more jumps in time before we go out and slug it with the Kallum a couple times and such. And the other races too ofc.

Our charactars are getting so deep its like i know them IRL tongue.

Another addition: This last council was really lame and short, I blame myself.

There's another way, of course: a fork.

Matt's Story is just that - a short story. It's not a collaborative project, though it can be considered Lesser Sketchpad, meaning you can contribute excellent prose if you have it. We'll use this OOC thread.

if a "wire" aka signal, can't go thru as a beam... what else might go thru that.. you can maybe get some cool technology to use if you think about that...

I've got one in mind.. which would be cool for ya..

Well, not having studied anything on particle sience and stuff. Would say that if beams cannot pass through then physical data could? like 0's and 1's on a cd. Although we could just open up hyperspace and fling stuff through that.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

My only question is: What did you mean by the ship changes, Aro? Because the Talus Republic is not a member of the Alliance, so they wouldn't orchestrate military operations with the Alliance.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

It is now. Deal with it tongue. I've always went in that direction or you would not get the ships I told you would get.

Consider it one of the mandates of re-entry.

From what you told me about Talus, they are honour driven. And the fact that they would work togheter in one ship to share one kill seems less in their nature. Commanding the fighters and bombers would sever that connection and they could truly peruse it in the battlefield.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

They are honor driven, but they are a warrior society. In order to take down a larger, stronger, enemy, warriors group up to take it down together.

I'm not saying I don't like it, I'm fine with having the Talus roll with Dreadnaughts and Carriers, along with Alliance back-up. Granted that Matt is fine with the Republis re-entering the Alliance (since it is sort of his creation). And yes, having the Talus in one-man fighters and bombers would give them more freedom in battle and probably boost their effectiveness, esspecially with the RKR (Resource-to-Kill Ratio) system being deployed by the Talus Military.

Also, I'm working on another post, but I won't have much time for it over the next few days, so it'll probably only get posted over the weekend. As Aro said, Deal with it. smile

P.S. Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and Happy Kwanza to everybody! big_smile

By the looks of it we have sooo much story we can spin off endless amounts off of it

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

We have plenty of back-story and old history we can spin off as well, look at Wolves' new thing, which i enjoyed by the way big_smile

Any ways, I'll hold off until Matt or Nai post to do some stuff, since mine will directly impact the Alliance. Esspecially our endeavor into Kallum territory, Arocalex wink

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Since the story was advanced 3 months, I'm trying to spin how the war with the darkones are going. I sort of an envisioning a battle of the bulge sort of attack, and how the Scion would have responded to the new tactics as how the Allies were finally able to counter the Blitzkrieg's in WW2.

I've brought this war to the Scion as a means to level the field between what you guys have painted as "untouchable" ie.. Scion. For one, we are no longer persuing dark ones that are hiding. They are in the open, and actively engaging the Scion now. Your races would only suffer as "feeder" to them, so massive large fleets would be like ringing the dinner bell. The Scion, of course, would still fight against them, so if you can work that into your universe in some way. Perhaps as a means to level the massive fleets the kallum have, vs the smaller fleets of the Alliance.

TRipple post!! If your reading my story I had to change a few aspects to keep things more simplified and stream lined.

"I dont need dropships, I just crash frigates into the planets surface and unload my men icon39."

I said that on page 14. I completly forgot about that.
