LOL.
Talk about snow here in MN. Dude, last night I couldn't open my garage to buy groceries.
But I love it when only 3 inches of snow closes highways and schools in Las Vegas and the South. It's so funny, since not even 8 inches would close highways or schools over here. They're such wussies.
i know dude. i had to scrape ice off the inside of my windshield because the condensation froze to it.
[wow that was narrow minded]
Justinian they aren't used to it obviously.
I love watching my dog try to eat snow that has partially thawed, and then frozen again
But snow in the desert is crazy!

Soth,
Ouch!
Skoe,
Well they better get used to it!
Rh,
Global Cooling ![]()
I've heard theories that global warming will cause the world to cool...
-.-
i personally wont mind either global cooling or global warming. we are a very resourceful people and we will adapt perfectly.

Okay, in our defense (yeah, I'm one of those Las Vegas wimps), our snow is more dangerous than your snow.
Las Vegas snow happens while weather is just slightly below the freezing point, which makes the snow sit in that middle ground between freezing and not freezing. That means the water turns to ice when it hits pavement. Iced roads=bad.
And by the way, yes, I did have fun in the snow. It's like the first snow I've seen in years and I had a free day. ![]()
As a little side note... school was closed today, yet by about 9 am everything was bone dry. ![]()
Note: Places in the south don't have as many snow plows/salt/sand as places in the north. For good reason; because they normally don't need it. That's why, not because they are wussies ![]()

Oh yeah, that too. Las Vegas owns absolutely NO snow plows.
Forecast here is for 50cm of snow on Sunday, thats 22 inches for you southern folk.
No big deal
the high has been -5 degrees all week here

Glad you had a good time in the snow Zarf. Btw, we get icey roads too. People skidding around, and the noob 16 year olds zomg. However, you live through it. Black ice is the real annoyance, but we get used to that too. Nonetheless, the ice doesn't last long because the government melts it with mad salt.

Lucky. it's been -15 degrees here. Dude, I had my heat up all the way and still it was cold.

Have you ever driven in Las Vegas? It's a uniquely bad traffic hellhole anyway. ![]()
I absolutely LOVE driving in the snow in my 94 ford ranger. rear wheel drive with nothing in the bed its hell to get going from a stop but tons of fun once i get going ![]()
It was quite a sight to see snow on the way to Vegas. Very different from the usual brown and yellow.
I was driving up there from the Grand Canyon and had a foot of snow at one point. lol Then walked on the Strip that evening as it snowed and turned to rain. [] weird, last time it was hot and tiring... This time it was cold and tiring... And I ALWAYS come back broke...lol
Zarf,
Traffic wasn't bad when I was there. Though I can tell you that Phoenix is worse.... golf carts... everywhere.
Soth,
No offense bro, but I think it's about time you get a new car.
good times in icy roads. i was going 70mph on the highway, hit a huge patch of black ice, i was skidding for like half a mile, was able to stay in my lane entire time.
Lucky fools! We've had one of the mildest falls on record here. Less then 20 years ago, it was common to have a little bit of snow on the ground at Halloween, but this year we've had no lasting snow until recently (and that only lasted a week). Hopefully the winter will be better. I love the frozen fluff ![]()
