ah anyway. i can still bank if you wnt. only problem is i already built 50 droids cause i feared that you would kill me off as soon as the round starts

I bet more people leave the game because of whiny idiots like yourself, then because the mods/Stefan are actually trying to improve on things, much more than they used to 2 years back.
The game is losing players because we've entered a new "Internet" age, sort of, with 3d games online, such as WoW, and other niceties like facebook and the like. A text-based game like this won't survive in the end, and is only maintained if some interesting changes keep the exisiting players. Attracting new players has become virtually impossible.
Talic, a lot of text based games are still growing in popularity..
Really, whining cant be a reason for people leaving, because you have the choice to simply not-read the forum. If you are soo sick of this situation, just stay away from the forums or stop responding to it, because responding to it makes you a whiner as well.
The problem isnt really that people are leaving, thats normal. Most experienced ppl that leave, return anyway if they feel like returning.
The big problem is that new players are not staying. This is because of the dishonour, whether you like it or not.
Mods did a good job delaying the round with 2 days, they honoured the small fams by giving them time to organise as well. Now of course you get most of the players who cant hear the word "honour" (after all, its a war game.. right?) complaining that this wasnt needed. Course it wasnt, for them.
edit: It's also very funny that you start your post with "stop complaining" while the rest of your post is one big complaint.
Lol, so what would you do if you're playing a game and you have to wait a week.
Or you join a galaxy called Virgo where noone answers your questions, where you receive no aid or help, there's no competition, or sowhat..
..I bet you would turn inactive like 90% of the new players do.
In other games Lipton people donate more, how many people do actually donate anymore?
I think if we would make some PR for IC instead of bashing it all the time the game would not die. Alot of us have been playing these game for some time , with ups and down, i still like it very much as it is and new changes are great.
But a PR campaign and improved vip features would encourage more people to donate to the game, donating imo will help Stefan improve the game.
Comments/ideas?
I have to agree with Joor aswell, People need to play Virgo aswell and teach the new players how to play. im thinking about an interactive Virgo feature where people need to reach certain stages in order to pass, i.e. Building eships gets you points, Making fleet, learning how to cast SA, learning why SA is important, using the map generator, using vip features, learning what vip features are.. building.. exploring.. using the map.
Imo all these can be taught alone by some players if they had some kind of a system that rewards them in point/resources if the task is completed. I maybe wrong or i maybe right, flame away.
Also i think waiting 1 week is very much, that period if it isnt during holidays should be reduced to 2-3 days imo.
Joor, the "small" fams arent waiting, they are now doing what your fam probably already did: they are planning their round and building their first buildings.
Your comment about Virgo is indeed correct, tho you do get aid in Virgo and some people actually play there. The problem with Virgo is that even the Tutors post in their fora that you just need to build 9 eships to and send them out at thesame time to play in the real gals. Virgo was a good idea for teaching, but it lost its effectivity.
Edit: @Glue, compared to other games, there is a very good percentage of donators in IC. I've played NukeZone as well, and they have more absolute donators, but they have a lower percentage of donators compared to the entire community.
2-3 days before BOR is far from enough. Fams wouldnt be filled and no strat would be worked out. The only fams that have enough with 2-3 days, are the fams that post in uni, the ones who are overactive and have their shit together in no-time cuz they know what they're doing. It takes a lot of time to form teams/strats/give instructions to players who are not used to this. Looks like you forgot that.
My post is hardly a complaint, except the part mentioning that this game is full of whiny bitches ;p
the push back hurts me alot:(+ it means alot of fams will have to be more active then they were hoping christmas eve and christmas if they want a decent start or it will be not as good.
However if its for the best then so be it it was needed.

If having to wait two more IC free days until the round starts is a massive issue for anyone then they probably have an addiction problem that needs attention. For rational people, a push back of two days would not make too much difference. I would have liked to have seen the BOR synchronised in a way that people finishing PW could move across easily.
pushing it back till monday is PERFECT.
whoever decided to start the round on saturday/sunday is stupid, its a weekend! people are heaps less active.
i live in perth, australia, GMT +8 which means round start is at 2am for me. and 2am on sunday morning i would most probably be out still because it is a weekend and i do have a life.
I think its good myself
Because it gives ppl from PW a chance too end the round without deleting on their fams
Im a pw player and im very happy with the decision which means i can arrive on time and end pw on a good note
