Its sad we gotta make strict rules over everything before ppl stop thinking about themselves first.
The issue with voting is numbers people think because your a banker with 150+ mil pop you were the best banker?
Are you kidding me? Of course if you ride the coat tails of a big family you will put up bigger numbers, the votes should not be biased or based off of ignorance, if you don't know how well other bankers were putting out - then don't vote, because your ignorant of the competition to the voting of all awards, furthermore what are the standards? Voting has always been a popularity contest within the ICC - There is no standard, i mean lets say myself i was a banker, and in my specific family news i was in the top 2-3 of every category ( Aid, Planets Captured, Lost, Expod, ect ) Meaning i was very active hard working, and i invented a new banking tactic this round, which is very complex but it makes you safe to Op wars - but no one nominated me for anything - Why? Ignorance, no one besides my family knows what i did - in turn that is the same thing for everyone else, your only gonna really vote for your own fam/alliance because thats what you were mostly exposed to - So.. there ya go Lipton.

And seeing how I had the biggest income for 35% of the round, cointossed for the #1 spot in NW with Citibank for quite a while, and was ranked no higher then 20th in planetsize during the entire round...how the heck could I be planetfat?

I'm an Idiot - Maybe your the moron, first off - don't try to assume my intentions for nominating you, you should at least be happy with it - your the most Planet fat person i had contact with, i don't care what you say, you contently had 2-3x my planets, and almost 90% of the time the same or just marginally more NW then me - It based off your NW:Planet ratio, i was able to tell thats at least 80% of your NW was Infra, and with no fleet to protect all those planets, that makes you planet fat in my book, only issue is - you must have had some damn good positioning, because during our skirmishes i never saw a planet held by you in the hot spots, and systems.
Either way, don't come here in start flaming me - this is a new round, and your already making an enemy, and trust me - this round is nothing like last, I'm not joining a 44th Ranked family Post Xpo - So remember that.
I don't care which fam you're joining, nor am I trying to make an enemy out of you.
I am merely suggesting that it takes a person with very low IQ to conclude that I was planetfat last round.
And YES I didn't have a huge fleet, because I didn't need to.
I spent a great amount of time and effort into positioning, so that I didn't have to compromise my income with lot's of units.
When you know you're aiming for the top bankerspot...fleet won't protect you. You have to make sure you're in safe systems that people can't get into.
Naturally it was my family that made sure that those systems stayed safe, so all praise goes out to them.

If you discount my I.Q. spend about 20 minutes in Politics, and you won't discount it again.
Moving on - I* Consider planet fat - High planet count with no Fleet, meaning if someone slips into your positions, you will be farmed, this is MY opinion of who was planet fat based off of my exposure of the players this round, and i was exposed to 1422, allot - as we had an undeclared war that lasted almost a solid month.
Now - Your perception of what makes a Banker the best - is YOUR perception, it is NOT standardized.
In MY opinion, anything role regardless of Attacker, ops, bank ect - The ability to adapt the a changing environment and pioneer the position, in my opinion is regarded as pristine -
What did you do special? Nothing, you risked your planets for additional income - you got lucky, thats all.
I created a new Banking tactic that worked out great - even your leader had no clue what i was doing, and with all his nukes he only swelled my income - I was pumping 3.4 Mil a tick, and attacking, and breaking portals, and retaling over 70% of our losses all round long, considering i had to do that in order to adapt to inept/inactive attackers, it was my effort along with 1-2 other likewise caliber players that moved a 44th ranked family to finish in the 21st ranked spot inspit of some of the worse top 5 farming i've seen in my 5+ years of I.c.
Planetfat is the ratio of NW compared to Size.
I didn't carelessly refrain from building more fleet. It was a carefully examined decision. So I didn't RISK anything, I planned.
And as far as what makes a banker good, well no offence but a big income really is the the way to rank a banker. Sure high NW is nice, but I would gladly be 100K nw with an income of 15M net.
And don't start about inactive fammembers, because we were the kings of the inactives last round, and still we managed to stay top15. That's a damn nice job if you ask me.
Just a quick note, imperial.
Lets say 2 people employ your strategy and are making 7m (heck, lets make it 10m) per tick combined, and doing attacks.
Is that really better than 2 people doing banker/attacker and making 15m a tick net and doing as many attacks?
What you invented seems to be the old SS strat to me (which though i love more than almost anything, is hardly new or the most efficient)

No no - this is a BANKER tactic, you still run with the B/A tactic, this is NOT SS - Your fleet is worthless, the reason i was making so many planet gains was because of just good attacking with little fleet - Fleet/NW is BAD to have using this tactic - it's designed to compensate with what ever you lose, kinda a fill in tactic, the only way you run into trouble is actually infra whoring, it's made for war - it's made to absorb the impact of Ops, and attackers - Ops and attacks actually bolster your income, or keep it sustained with little to no loss.
