Topic: economy "experts" = airheads?

i dont know my dear friends...
what i see in tv lately makes me wonder a lot.
I see all those self titles "experts" throwing around with ways how to solve this crisis.
basically their message is.. profit is private... debt should be left for the state.
weird thing to say if you ask me.

another thing i wonder is.. same experts that blamed politics that the euro is way too high when it went over 1,20$ for the first time.. now suddenly claim that politicians need to do something because euro is dropping and its hurting economy (euro is at 1,32$ now)
can anyone explain to me how this can be?

if you ask me.. most of them only do lots of blabla and have no real idea how to deal with this situation.. obviously.. no one seems to have an idea at the moment. they are puppets of the big economies.

also i would like to know your personal opinion what should be done..

reduction of sales tax?
pumping billions into the economy to keep it "alive"?

i begin to think it would be best to simply let those who die die...

yes sure.. unemployment will go up big time.. but i would really prefer to give that e.g. 20 billion $ to the unemployed people instead of giving it to mercedes or BMW. with 20 billion we can provide a good monthly income for those who loose their jobs due to this crisis.
we can be sure that that money would directly be reinvested.
it would be a pitty if BMW or Mercedes would disappear from the world.. but.. due to missmanagement over the last years and uncontrolable expansion there is no reserves for them.. so they basically [w00f!]...

Re: economy "experts" = airheads?

Agree that economists dont know shit, that is those that air on tv. They are just airheads that simply say what others say, what they read from others. And if the situation changes it is not how they predicted it and they quickly change stories forgetting whatever they just said.

with letting them die is that prodcution would stop, which in turn would let their prices rise and the factories would be sold off to diffrent people that had the money, and bam shit starts working again. Although those persons would need to come togheter and form an accord to deliver parts that are compatible and such.

20 bill can buy a lot of cars, can let people keep their homes and such.

Re: economy "experts" = airheads?

You're just figuring this out now? tongue

The real shame is that it will most likely just result in more waste, as it usually does. Countries like China and India have benefitted from globalization because they have control over their economies by 1 force. In Amerika there are constantly fighting forces for more and less regulation that result in our regulations being a mutt that doesn't do anything well.

While less regulation is generally good, there are some areas where moderation is very useful. While that moderation is generally good, when it is put in place by a government comprised of two+ conflicting ideologies and the regulations reflect this (+billions in earmarks every time it is changed), the result is just waste, waste, waste. And it's all of our money. Wasted.

Embrace the Austrian School of economics, and you will learn why mainstream economic science makes a fatal flaw in its methodology.

Most business majors are airheads to start with.

That is why you never hire an MBA, but an engineer for management.

Does that make any sense? Sorry I just don't feel good from last night. I drank too much.

Why Spend $20 billion on welfare and not get any thing back when we can spend $20 billion and allow people to keep making their own money and keep paying income tax? Paternal States don't work. Welfare is not a long term solution.

The Yell: "but all the cool kids were in the Chicago school!

The Chicago school is mislead in a lot of its propositions. Keynesian economics is still as pervasive today as it was during the New Deal. The only true economic discipline is that which acknowledges private property and sound money as the prerequisite for economic calculation, and by extension civilization and a prosperous society overall. Market intervention of any sort creates only chaos and destruction.

income tax is only paied when u actually have an income.
you can give 100 trillion to the car industrie.. that wont buy a single car. will only keep the company alive till hopefull better times come again for them.

now if you give that money to the weelfare.. unemployment help.. you could raise the monthy payment for unemployed people from 300 to maybe 500 euro.
300 or 500 euro.. both is not really much for living here... so you can be sure. that those people will directlly reinvest that 200
