.
I think i'm going for anything where you control the actions of one guy. Preferably something pretty much linear, not something like fable.
well, FPS does stand for FIRST PERSON shooter. i guess you could also consider something like fallout3's 3rd person view as fps if you really hated first person games.
lol, why did they leave out cut scenes in rome?
-AoE II
-Unreal Tournament and Quake
-Myst , Carcassonne (puzzlegames)
I dunno where Worms would fit in
Strategy TB: -
Strategy RTS: Kessen Series (Xbox)
FPS(also including third person and top down): Rainbow Six 3 (Xbox)

Strategy TB:
Civilization Series (They belong together - It's still th' same concept)
Strategy RTS:
StarCraft
FPS(also includin' third person an' top down):
Crysis / Soldier o' Fortune (back in th' days - Blood an' violence were bein' extreme!)
Role playin' game:
Baldurs Gate II / Fallout 1/2

Strategy RTS: Starcraft Broodwar

Simulator: Sim City
Operation Flashpoint - Cold War Crisis
At the time, it was absolutely raw. Can't wait for no2 to come out.
Age of Empires... You mean to tell me that a game where all you do is mass archers or siege engines and pwn everything is worthy of greatest status? Kids these days have no taste...
TB: Rome: Total War
RTS: Starcraft
RPG: Final Fantasy IV
Dude if you play it right, mass Skirmishes pwnmass archers, cannons pwn siege, hell, every single horse pwn them. I'm talkin gbout the mulitplayer ofc where ur oponents are a bit moe powerfull
Strategy TB: Chess.
What?
Strategy RTS: Command and Conquer
Although Starcraft and Starcraft: Broodwar are my favourites they simply have too many problems with poor AI and pathfinding for me to honestly consider them to be better than C&C.
FPS: Quake 3 Arena
Although Unreal Tournament is my favourite again it is not without its problems and drawbacks, but the main reasons for my choice are that Q3A is more streamlined and as a result the gameplay does not suffer as a result of "spam" attacks.
Role playing game: Vampire The Masquerade
If you have to ask you are not ready to know. "Cloak of Shadows!" /me vanished
Simulator: N/A
Fighting: Capcom vs SNK 2
Strategy TB: Heroes III and Heroes IV (haven't played heroes V yet); Civ II was also hot
Strategy RTS: Starcraft, Warcraft III, Red Alert 1 and 2, Tiberian Sun, Total Annihilation, Age of Empires II, Star Wars Galactic battlegrounds and Rise of Nations
FPS(also including third person and top down): MoHAA, Halo, FEAR, UT (any of them) and any Thief game, any Tom clancy Rainbow Six game (although I was disappointed with Rogue Spear), and any Splinter Cell game
Role playing game: Diablo II, Morrowind and Oblivion (who doesn't love Elder Scrolls) and Exile III: Ruined World (that was a very tough game, especially without the editor) Oh, and Final Fantasy 2 and 3 for SNES were frickin awesome. Hands down. The playstation ones were shit. Screw all of you who think otherwise. That is my retort to any who say anything after this.
Simulator: Never Played any, I'm a person of killing and blood and good ![]()
Edit: Forgot Perfect Dark and Goldeneye
I probably should add in the Ghost Recon games too
Strategy TB: Advance Wars, Civ IV

Starcraft is the same, hence the name "zerging" ![]()
Kekekekekekeke
