Its simple. All muslims do is destroy shit and blow shit up. Next to nothing productive. Check out the amount of patents Israel files yearly, compared to the rest of the middle east combined. Oh wait..Israel makes more ever year then the rest of them combined. How could this be? Oh yeah, muslims aren't productive. Discuss...
I disagree. They also drill oil and computer program. The ones that blow stuff up are terrorists, and terrorists are a group that do not represent the majority of members of the faith of Islam.
There's also one of my fwb who is a muslim, and she's one of my favorites.

There's a simple alternative explanation for the issue you raise. Most of the Islamic nations also tend to be oil nations. Think aboout that.
If a nation, such as Japan, doesn't have many natural resources, it must rely on its people as the provider of its economy. Therefore, it must cultivate the people, who become its natural resource. As a nation finds more and more natural resources, however, part of the government's focus becomes to preserve and maintain those resources, since that is what is valuable to the government.
The problem is that oil is such a lucrative business that a nation only needs a few thousand people to exist. Every other citizen, in terms of economics, becomes a liability, or at the very least, negligibly valuable. The government no longer needs to preserve the people for economic value, so they become expendable for non-economic issues, such as warfare for the purpose of obtaining more key resources.
This issue is seen in many more areas than just the Islamic world. Blood diamonds, anyone?
The issue being in more than just the middle east has nothing to do with the topic. The issue being more widespread, and Islam being the World's cancer, are not mutually exclusive. But hey, not all people are intelligent.

I've given you empirical examples of Islamic nations that don't fit your classification. But hey, not all people are intelligent.

There are plenty of muslims in the nations you listed, but hey not all people are intelligent enough to realise that. ISLAM IS A CULT!

Um... that's exactly the point!
Those nations AREN'T part of the problem. They aren't actively promoting terrorism, their economies are developing to industrialized levels, and yet they're Islamic nations! That proves your theory wrong.
....firstly, i'm not muslim....i do not agree with their "ethos" but if it was not for their "culture" (of past) we would not be were we are now....babylon (iraq) was the "cradle" of knowledge for so long (the romans took most of their knowledge from the area....egypt had one of the largest most comprehensive libraries of all time which taught such people as archimedes, etc....their beliefs are what i find hard to "handle" and any religion which condones violence is unacceptable....what happened in the USA and at home here in the UK was totally wrong and a corruption of their own writings....the arguement between islam and christian/catholic/judaism stems from their belief that our writings were translated incorrectly and we believe that this is the case with theirs....whilst this is maintained by their imans and our religious leaders the issues will continue....Israel is a "special" case as they not only continue to face adversity and thrive but they border several muslim states....they are (realistically) the "forefathers" of christianity as this stems from judaism....whilst i do not condone what has happened in the world (with terrorism,etc) i do wander what it will take to sort out these differences....because for our children we HAVE to sort it out....i have lived through terrorism (IRA,etc) for most of my life and i do not want that for the future of my children....as i am sure no-one does!....(just my opinion, i make no apologies)....

Are you serious? Do you post without checking your facts? How about when hezbollah was being housed in southern lebanon while they were attacking Israel? The Lebanese government did next to nothing except provide a safe house for terrorists.

anyway, the problem with islam is that mohammad preached violence. for todays muslims, many of them dont do as mohammad did but others interpret the literature very literally and go out and kill others for the sake of their religion. And many of the government have not learned that you cant put any religion in with the government, including christianity. Look at the spanish inquisition... thats what happens when christianity becomes part of the government.
