Topic: algebra solved

well i was taking a look at the college algebra programs on the net and i came across one that seems to show a lot of potential for help in algebra

i kinda suck at algebra and im in danger of failing it this semester if i dont buckle down and study harder so i need to buy something that is helpful and really in deppth of showing me what to do big_smile

and maybe sheat on some of the homework i have big_smile

just wondering if any of you guys have heard of the program or if you know of any people that have used it in the past

I think you've kinda missed the point. 

Using a programme to work out solutions for you won't help you understand the basic principles, which in turn renders the whole point of the maths class redundant.  Get a good book and learn the rules of algebra for yourself.  You can then sit down anywhere anytime and with a piece of paper and writing implement can solve any algebraic equation you like, without the need of a computer. 

And anyway, algebra is the simplest part of maths.

What is this with people buying seperate books etc to study the things they learn is school =/

friday during the exams (in between) I saw some people of my class who had bought this book for history, with all the things int it, and some for A1, chemistry and biology. I never heard of those books. And I think it's kinda unfair aswell.

hmm, yeah true.

but in a way, if you have made bad notes during the year it might help, and we didn't get the book back from last year and it's shorter, kinda like a summary. and paying a little bit for a book won't make the difference between poor and rich (unless you're at the brink) and it still stays unfair as people working for those things get money from it, money for making something useless.

functions always got me... sad

there's more than one way to learn the principles of algebra, and if your brain can't wrap around your professor's method, it may be worth exploring other systems.

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.
